I like this matchup.
Glad we are going to be chasing Westbrook down instead of Gore.
The current 10 point spread says a lot about where the money is going right now between these two.

This should be a slaughter, really.
With the exception of Iupati, their o-line is a mess.
Their RT is a rookie - and struggling.
Could be another 3-sack day for CM3...

Wonder if we can get Singletary fired, too...

We SHOULD win. But i hope the guys take SF seriously, or they could suffer a letdown.

You don't have to worry about that. As Nonstop pointed out we are coming off a loss and we are also chasing Chicago. There are times when a team may play a lesser opponent and not be where they need to be motivation-wise but this is not the case here.

We will be fighting the Bears for the North probably all the way up to when we play them in the last game. This is one of the reasons why I like our chances in the remaining five games.

As I stated in another thread the gameplan should be simple. Stop Westbrook and make Smith put it up. With the 49'rs coming off a short week and back to back road games we put this one away early.

I can't believe Fox Sport's peter schrager picks SF.

49ers at Packers: One of the greatest games ever played
the 98 wild-card matchup between Steve Young, Terrell Owens, Jerry Rice and the Niners against Brett Favres two-time defending NFC champion Packers
involved these two franchises. Expect FOX to break out the ol archived footage from that one, including Youngs winning touchdown pass to T.O. and a weeping Owens on the sideline after (finally) holding onto a pass. Packers fans might be the ones weeping after this one, though, as I see Troy Smith and the Niners pulling the rare road upset at Lambeau on six days of rest. Who had Smith, Brian Westbrook and Anthony Dixon leading the Niners to a division title? Anyone? Hello? I can see it happening. The complete and utter lack of a Packers rushing offense is going to haunt Green Bay in December and January.

The Pick: 49ers 24, Packers 20

We won't need a rushing game A-Rod and GJ will take SF's secondary apart.

We win going away by at least 17
Book it now.
