In 2009 we had 4,203,379 page "hits" and in 2010 we dropped down to 2,591,604.

PH is becoming the suck.

Just 2.5 million? I'd get the site out of the air.

I know, working on it.

2010 - 2,591,604
per month 215,967
per day 7,100

2009 - 4,203,379
per month 350,281
per day 11,516

I was thinking how this drop happened. I did have the site register only for a great portion of the year. I opened it back up just a few months ago. Meaning, you had to be logged in to view any content. I also killed off a lot of bots trying to increase page load times. I'm guessing the bots must have contributed a lot to that 1.6 million page "hits".

Might be.

And the Burt Farv dust might finally be settling down a bit. I know that a lot of people here had accounts to discuss him in just about every thread. That certainly died down this season.

Speaking wholly unscientifically, ISTM that traffic has dropped off more in the last couple months.

But that could just be because it seems like Foster isn't around as much, and I miss that guy with the collection of silly striped blue pants.

I would love there to be a law that abolishes abbreviations.

I'm pretty sure we were both yanking your chain, Wade.

Though I do share Kevin's distaste for internet abbreviations.

Hits are such a poor way to measure web traffic. Visitors and unique visitors are much more accurate. A hit on a website is on any file that is called from the server. Let's say this page has 10 images, 2 javascripts, 1 css file, and a php file; that would be 14 hits for this page alone, greatly misrepresenting how much traffic comes to this site when measured in hits.
