So I post this, and I get one on the Forum page, but none of the threads are marked when I select the forum...

These icons are seriously unsynchronized with the database.
Even after I have read all new posts in a forum, the "New Posts" icon remains for a whiel.

Your title needs to be BETTER. There are a plethora of issues and having titles like that only makes this whole process more difficult. I change it to something more gooder.
Yes, the icon's indicating new posts, etc is crazy stupid. This was mentioned previously as well. I think it might have something to do with the caching? I'm not sure.
Trust me, I'm with you on the frustration regarding their inaccuracy. It's annoying. Hell, even after I make a post, it then tells me there's a new post!!! No shit, I made it!

We are now having the opposite problem. When I login to the site, I will be presented with threads that have "New Post" icons.
However, if I read even one thread and then click the Back button, all the threads are marked as read.
That means the "Go to last unread post" button disappears.
Having to scroll all the way through threads to find new content gets annoying.

One of the developers just confirmed this issue should be fixed in the next release.
Only if I could get him to tell me WHEN the release will occur. :)
tha_watchaThere will be a new User Read Tracking System in the Upcoming Release, which is not Session based (must be enabled in the Host Settings) instead it used the database to save the last read time of a topic by a user. It will also solve the Icon behavior.
