This post has been updated to reflect the latest change. This was a helluva turnaround and improvement from our last chat module on this platform. It only took me 17 compiles before I got the code right and successfully passed the session variable from the code behind to the view.

Hmm, I think maybe it was set to admin only? I went through and did the module settings all over this morning so maybe I fixed it without knowing?

I just checked out the new chat.
It seems MUCH better!
It seems to actually post the things you type!
Amazing!
And it shows who is in the chat!
That's really all ya need, it's amazing how whoever made that one chat messed it up so bad.
They should feel bad.
Good stuff, Zero.
It's foooootbaaaaaaaallll tiiiiiimmmmeeee!

Regarding the other Chat module, that was kind of my fault, not the developers. They didn't intend for the module to be used with this version, I kind of forced it through. Although the problems with Chrome are solely that of their own. They're aware of them and probably working on a fix.
Either way, this is the chat I like, this is the one I want and this is the one we're using ... because it's awesome like that.

Yay, old chat back! :D:D:D
Works fine on Win7 Professional x64, although using 32-bit firefox 5.0 (durr) which means 32-bit java.

I enter as, for example, Guest6589 and am unable to /nick myself in Chrome on OS X Snow Leopard.
I enter as Nonstopdrivel and am able to /msg NickServ Identify my password just fine in Firefox 6.0 on OS X.
The applet never makes it past the Java splash screen in Safari 5.1 on OS X.
