I know you often like to bi... note the irritant of waiting for Photobucket to load.. but then make us as a populous wait for the damn google analytics to load upon every click. :-"
Seriously though.. it is really dragging hard on the analytics today.. at least for me.

Crazy, I've ran several tests with it and it's the very last thing to load. I was looking into this the other day too.
Where are you seeing that it's holding ya up?

Watching the elements load in FF 6.. bottom left hand corner.. stalls a moment on the root of the site.. and then at least a 5 to 8 second pause when loading analytics couple of addresses.
Nothing major.. but it immediately reminded me of the photobucket notation. [grin1]
PS.. it has improved in the last 10 minutes or so.. about the time I popped the cork on this thread.

Interesting. I did change the site from caching to memory to file instead. I wonder if it's just trying to build a new cache, or if Google Analytics is turning lame. I'll definitely have to keep an eye on it, thank ya sir.
Edit, Google Analytics provides a benefit, but if it's going to be slowing the site down, it'll be removed as well. Which reminds me, now that I know how to make modules, I'll have to layout one for graphic uploading.

I'm going to disable Google Aanlytics and see if there's an improvement. I've been hitting random links and I do see it flash it's 'waiting' for it. It disappears right away, but if it can improve load time, or increase consistency then it'll be worth it.

... apparently you can't disable it, or I'm not able to find it. That's an awesome feature! It looks like I can uninstall the module altogether.
Edit, put the Forum page through a web speed test.

Since the mention it see it cycle through but not lag.. apparently I need to allow more time before a report.
I blame it on the location of the IP address.. 209.85.169.113... it is all Cali's fault. :)

I see it cycle as well, which I'm not fond of. I'd hate to lose it because I like looking at the stats, but if it's slowing us down ... I think it'll have to go.
I tried disabling it yesterday but there's no damn disable button. You have to uninstall the module.
