Poking around on Google Analytics and got curious...
This time frame is March 1 through March 17 comparing this year with last year.
Bounce Rate is the percentage of single-page visits (i.e. visits in which the person left the site from the entrance page). You want a low bounce rate.

Is there a particular set of pages bringing in this additional traffic? What is the make-up of the bounces (new vs. returning)?

Pages, yes, a topic started is a new page that brings new traffic. The topic brings traffic, but as indicated by the bounce rate, they are checking the topic, then bolting for the exit, lol.
