Rob Demovsky The Green Bay Packers will have some difficult decisions to make this offseason with 14 players headed toward free agency. The new league year begins on March 10 at 4 p.m. ET, when unrestricted free agents can sign with any team.

Between now and then, general manager Ted Thompson surely will strike new deals with some of them. Last March, he signed cornerback Sam Shields to a four-year, $39 million contract only hours before free agency opened.

The Packers already have begun negotiations with defensive tackle Letroy Guion, and it is widely believed there's no way they will let receiver Randall Cobb hit the open market.

Here’s a list of the Packers' unrestricted and restricted free agents to be:

Unrestricted:
  1. Matt Flynn, quarterback
  2. Scott Tolzien, quarterback
  3. John Kuhn, fullback
  4. Randall Cobb, receiver
  5. Bryan Bulaga, tackle
  6. B.J. Raji, defensive tackle
  7. Letroy Guion, defensive tackle
  8. Jamari Lattimore, linebacker
  9. Tramon Williams, cornerback
  10. Jarrett Bush, cornerback
  11. Davon House, cornerback

Restricted:
  1. Jarrett Boykin, receiver
  2. Don Barclay, guard/tackle
  3. Sean Richardson, safety

I want to see Cobb, Bulaga, Guion, and Tramon back. I think each of them has proven they are a part of our core group going forward. Also, one of Flynn / Tolzein since they both know our system well.

Raji and Bush I wouldn't mind bringing back at the right price. Raji on a 1-year 'prove it' deal, and Bush at multi-year around $2 - $3 million per.

All the rest I am indifferent to. House is expendable given Hyde and Hayward, and I feel Khun is more expandable given his age and fact that we rarely use FB (TE often lines up in backfield this past year).

Desperately want ILB upgrade over Lattimore (and Hawk / Jones). Can do without Lattimore (and the other two also).

Randall Cobb, receiver - def keep
Bryan Bulaga, tackle - def keep
B.J. Raji, defensive tackle - see what price he is at
Letroy Guion, defensive tackle - keep (think he may be better then raji atm) but would like 2 of the big buys besides boyd
Jamari Lattimore, linebacker - def keep (liked his play)
Tramon Williams, cornerback - keep but not paying a premium; he may want it but Id rather we have someone else if paying a premium
Jarrett Bush, cornerback - cant believe Im saying this but keep if cheap if only for his ST play
Davon House, cornerback - keep but test him against competition he was average IMO

Bulaga, Cobb, Tramon Williams, Guion, Tolzien, House, Barclay KEEP (in that order of importance).

Kuhn, Lattimore, and Bush I don't really care.

Boykin, Richardson, Flynn, Raji CUT (in that order of least to most suckage).

Bulaga and Cobb are the only two that I pay more than whatever the going rate would be. The rest, if you can get them for a fair price, they hold value.

I keep Flynn and draft a QB around 3rd or 4th round.

From what I can see right now, we are looking at about 23million in cap space.
If we cut both Hawk and Jones we will have about 30million.

Agreed.
I'd hate to lose both Tramon and House so I'd think 1/2 of that combo is right up there as a 1a priority.
I'd like to give Guion another shot, but after those first three, we may only be able to afford draft picks.

Keep Bulaga and Cobb, and you have every starter returning from this year's No. 1 offense. Plus, you have Davante Adams and Richard Rodgers gaining vital experience.

I'd like to see Letroy Guion brought back. You can never have too many defensive lineman. He also played well down the stretch. I'm okay letting Tramon Williams walk. I rather let a player go a year too soon than keep him a year too long. Maybe re-sign Davone House and draft a CB high.

I'm still numb following Sunday, but there is no reason why they can't be even better next year.
