After the success of this years game at Wembley (and what a game it was)

What is the feeling among Packer fans here to whether you would like to see the Packers play In London either next season or the one after?

Roger Goodell stated last week during the game that the NFL is looking into playing possibly 2 games at Wembley for at least the next 2 seasons.

As a UK Packer Fan I would love to see the Packers play here.
And would kill for tickets.
The cost of me watching a game at Wembley is cosiderably cheaper than flying out to the States.

Before you go mad at me I understand totally that the Pack would never ever give up a home game but surely they would not be bothered about playing an away game at Wembley?
It was good enough for San Diego and just think of the time it took them to get to London.

Nest season we play Pittsburgh away.
Now that would be some game.

The season after we play the Jets and the Patriots and I am sure they are both slated as away games.
Imagine if Favre was still playing and the Packers got the Jets to play a home game 3,000 miles away.
You have to believe me when I say that the Pack is one of the most supported teams in the UK.
We have an absolutely massive following and the Jets fans wuld be out numbered 2 - 1 easily.

What say you Packer backers?

Your thread title, "Packers to play at Wembley," made me think that the Packers were actually going to play at Wembley. But they're not.

As to your question, I wouldn't mind if they played an away game at Wembley, but I would be irritated if it was a home game. Just like any other NFL fan.

It would be weird for the Packers to play in England, but I'd be happy for you. I appreciate Packer fans who live far away. And I appreciate that fans from other continents will post in this forum at odd hours, when I can't sleep and nobody else is posting.

I wouldn't mind it, being European myself. I'd like to them to give it a shot in other country's aswell though. Germany had 4 of the 5 last NFL Europe teams, I can imagine they would want an NFL game there.

As for my own country, the Netherlands. I think they could sell-out a game easily here aswell. We had the other NFL Europe team, and the Amsterdam ArenA is a stadium suited for an NFL match.

But to get back to the topic. It would be great if the Packers played at england as long as they would put it out in time. I don't know how expensive tickets are, but being 17 and working part-time in the supermarket, I asume I have to work at least 3 month's to get them :p

Greg you hit it right on the head. It would be neat to see them play over there but it would suck to take away a home game. Packer tickets are the hardest ticket in the nfl to get and to take a game away would be terrible. I live in PA and alot of steeler fans say they would love to get to green bay just to see a game. I heard a rumor about going to 17 games and then one of the extra games will be used for other countries.
BTW i'll be in heinz field next year for the packers steelers game, teacher from school has season tickets and said he would love to take me seeing i wear all my packer stuff to school.

No, thank you.

But I love the idea of adding a week to the season and playing one game each week in a city that doesn't have an NFL team (you know, like Detroit...).

I think it would be cool as long as it's a road game. Give it to the Lions and save their fans some pain. LOL

I understand the desire for English and European Packer fans want to see them play 1st hand but I personally would not like to see them play a regular season game over there.
Preseason (week 1-2) would be fine.
