The most likely scenario for the NFC seeds are as shown below.

  1. Panthers
  2. Cardinals
  3. Packers
  4. Redskins
  5. Seahawks
  6. Vikings

Putting on the Green and Gold goggles ...

Week 16
Packers over Cardinals
Giants over Vikings
Rams over Seahawks

Week 17
Packers over Vikings
Seahawks over Cardinals

  1. Panthers
  2. Packers
  3. Cardinals
  4. Redskins
  5. Seahawks
  6. Vikings

If Packers win both games and Cardinals lose to Seahawks, Packers get 2nd seed. The other games don't matter for Packers 2nd seed.

Would love to get the 2nd seed, but I don't see the Seahawks having anything to play for next week and I think Pete Carroll will pull his starters early or not play them at all.

Okay, so Packers got slammed around by Cardinals, that changes things up a bit, lol.

Packers will either be 3rd seed or 5th seed. They cannot get higher because of record and cannot get 6th seed because they have tie-breaker over Seahawks.

If this happens ...

Week 17
Packers over Vikings
Cardinals over Seahawks

  1. Panthers
  2. Cardinals
  3. Packers
  4. Redskins
  5. Vikings
  6. Seahawks

.. Packers would face the Seahawks in a rematch of Week 2.

If this happens ... Vikings miss playoffs
Week 16
Giants over Vikings

Week 17
Packers over Vikings
Cardinals over Seahawks
49ers over Rams

  1. Panthers
  2. Cardinals
  3. Packers
  4. Redskins
  5. Seahawks
  6. Falcons

I actually wouldn't mind the 5th seed and a date with Washington.

It would save us another embarrassing loss at home in the playoffs lol, atleast this way we can say we lost on the road to a playoff team.

Can we forfeit our playoff spot to the Falcons to save the seemingly inevitable embarrassment?

If Panthers lose to Buccaneers, the Cardinals will not have anything to play for against the Seahawks. I'm thinking Bruce Ariens will still play his starters for half the game knowing he has a BYE week. That means the Packers could face (assuming they beat Vikings) Seahawks at Lambeau Field.

Packers win, they face Seahawks or Vikings.
Packers lose, they face Redskins.

Not a lot of options there, lol.

It might be better to lose, face the Redskins.
Sure there is a bit of home field advantage, but it is not like this team has the running game to be effective at Lambeau at this time of year.
Crappy weather will only increase the drops and lack of separation of our receivers.

Carolina loses and Cardinals win , Cardinals will become #1 seed.

I think they will be playing their starters.
