This may be a rough one... If the pass defense can redeem itself we may be onto something good.

I think this game comes down to does the Packers pass rush get to Eli before Eli gets the ball to an open WR or not.

Like most I was worried about the Packers ability to cover... but looking at the Giants schedule this game is different than most of their others. First of, the Packers don't have a defense like the Vikings.... but at the same point, the Giants beat the Cowboys and Saints... which I've heard (but can't confirm) that both have been having huge problems with getting consistent/good pass rush... so I would hope that the Packers have a better pass rush than them.

That just leaves the Redskins game to compare... and Eli did great with 25/38 passing (65.78%) and 350 yards... but also horrible with 2 INTs and 2 fumbles (which the Giants recovered both, but still).

And other than the Viking beat down all their games have been within 3 points.
And some have said their Cowboys win and Redskins loss, both should have gone the other way.

Eli had 3 TDs and 1 INT against the Cowboys. Since then, he has had 1 TD and 3 INTs.

Eli is a risk taker, with the gunslinger mentality. If you can shake Eli into throwing some passes early, the DBs will have chances to make INTs.

As long as we don't miss as many assignment as we have been we should be able to squeeze by in this one, but the secondary HAS to play better.

It should be an interesting game. You know the Giants realize the Packers were watching them struggle with the pass rush and will emphasize that along with probably more protection schemes.
This is the time for Capers to shine with a game plan to get after Eli.

The Giants strength on defense is in their pass rush and with their DB's pretty banged up they know they have to disrupt Arod. The Packers offense was in better sync last week and Rodgers was getting the ball out nicely so if that continues it bodes well for them.

The Giants strength on offense are those 3 receivers all have big play capabilities. If the Giants are in this game in the 4th quarter I would expect it's because of a few big plays by those guys and not really any consistent offense. Not having a strong run game or strong pass protection I don't see NY putting together long drives.

If I'm the Giants I'm keeping an extra blocker in to buy Eli enough time to go deep and let one of those guys make some plays. That's been the Packers nemesis so far this year anyhow.

OJB Jr. scares me. With our D injuries, if Manning has time we are in trouble.
Of course they are losing many players on defense as well, so if AR has time, this could be a shoot out.

My guess is that Mike McCarthy will have this team come out totally unprepared to play and lose the 1st 3 quarters.
The defense will keep the Pack in the game and the offense does just enough in the 4th to get a close win.
Pack 27-24.

Giants coming off short week, Packers coming off bye, advantage Packers.

Giants will score 20.

Won't be near enough.

Packers D gets 3 picks, one a pick 6.

Aaron and company put another 3 in the end zone.

Add 2 fgs from Mason.

Packers 34 Giants 20.

I think the defensive front wins the game for us...pressure upfront coming hot and often. Eli gets rattled putting up 2 int's along with 7 sacks make it a long day for the Giants. Aaron and the Packer offense run up a quick 14 point lead. Then MM sits on his hands again keeping the score closer than it should be...Packers win 24-13
