The way some "Packers fans" talk, you'd think the Packers were 0 - 8 or something, but they are actually 5th in the conference for the playoffs with their 4 - 3 record.
And they are just one win behind the division leader.
As we all know from 2010, you just need to get into the dance to make a run.
We can't demand 60 minutes of perfection because that's just ignorant and unrealistic.
Even when the Patriots when 16 - 0 in the regular season they didn't play perfect for 60 minutes.
The glass is definitely half full.
We're seeing a lot of young guys getting some good live bullet action. Hell, we had THREE players get their FIRST regular season Touchdown last week!! That has NEVER happened in Packers history.
Let's try to root for the Packers instead of against them because shit, there are 31 fan bases out there rooting against us. Why pile on like whiny spoiled bitches, right?

Yes, it does make one feel safe to hide their head in the sand . You don't see or have to face reality. The world is just what you wish it to be . It is more comforting in fantasy land where everyone is your friend and every meal is a feast .
[pinkele] Dancing pink elephants fill your dreams as you ignore reality . Also, the illusion tells you that the 2016 Packers have a competent Defense. You doze in your unique reality, not willing to emerge from the safe, warm, cozy place where fuzzy bunnies play at your feet .

The Packers defense has been pretty good when they have Mike Daniels, Nick Perry, Clay Matthews and are playing cover 2 defense almost the whole game... of course that's a really small sample as I believe they've only had all four in 2 of their games... the Giants and Bears game.
Cowboys game they got out of cover 2, because the Cowboys offensive front is so good, they couldn't handle it with just the defensive front guys.
Falcons game, they didn't have Matthews.
Also I'm thinking they still need to get Haha playing back up to his standards. But this defense is doing a lot better than most would of thought without their top 3 CBs. With the defensive front, ILBers and back-up CBs stepping up.

Being 15th in the league in scoring allowed, 16th in passing defense, 2nd in run defense, and 7th in run defense would imply a very average defense. The only category that they've been crappy at is generating turnovers. Isn't that overall competent? If not, what is, without dropping facts and delving into intangibles that aren't showing up in the end result and are purely subjective? Am I burying my head in the sand if I call the Packers defense average? Why?

After having a bye in week four, a vacation for Wildcard weekend will be much needed.

Average ? As in GB can field an average Defense and win against average teams, but can't withstand the above average teams in the league like the Vikings, or the Cowboys, or the Falcons . Average may get this team to the playoffs, but no further than a Wildcard Game. TT's let's be average policy is not yielding an above average Defense .
So go ahead and quote stats, and speak about this or that injured player that "could" have made a difference, as well as caps or cap space.
Face it, in real time the 2016 GB Packers (and their average defense) can't beat any of the teams that appear to be headed for the playoffs. If however you like the sand, then enjoy your self .

So, go ahead and stick your head up your ass being a pessimistic fan who would rather be "right" when his team isn't the ONE of 32 who hoists that trophy at the end of the year. ME? I'll bury my head in the sand ROOTING like hell FOR my team, but that's just the kind of fan I am.

The Packers defense has kept the Packers in games for 6 games this season and have been going strong. They failed to preform last Sunday due to injuries. The Packers offense looked elite for 1 and 1/2 games.
The 1/2 game (The second half of the Bears game) is the example of the "complete game" people are talking about. This is what Zero is talking about. For all the pessimistic fans, he is the one with a more realistic view than you guys. Because the signs point to a Packers rising.

All of this is true, and the Packers are and have been a decent team. But even with statistic that show the defense is average, I have zero faith that they will make the big stops against contenders when it matters most. They may be average or above average for most of the game, but when it matters most, I have little faith that the Packers defense will step up, even when healthy. At least against the likes of Cam Newton, Carson Palmer, Russell Wilson, Cowboys, Drew Brees, etc.
