Aaron Jones | Running Back | Texas El Paso | 5'9 1/2" - 208 lbs.
OVERVIEW
Aaron and his twin brother, Alvin, were El Paso kids that weren't highly rated, so staying around home made sense. It's worked out well for UTEP, as Alvin has led the team in tackles the past two years while Aaron amassed over 4,000 rushing yards during his career. Aaron led the Miners with 811 yards as a freshman, scoring four times, even though he missed three games due to a broken rib. Healthy throughout 2014, he earned second-team All-Conference USA honors with 1,321 yards (5.5 per) and 11 scores (also 30-293, three TDs receiving). The good luck didn't stay in his junior year, however, as he suffered a torn ligament in his left ankle in practice. Jones exploded in 2016 after that redshirt year, ranking fourth in the FBS with 1,773 rushing yards and scoring 17 times (28-233, three TDs receiving). He was a first-team All-Conference USA pick in his final year.

RB topic ... did we just draft 3 RBs? ... either Ted doesnt think he can pick em right and hopes something sticks or ... not sure.
But 3 ... I dont fancy little guys but hey whatever works.

Left him off my board, because he was only 5' 9".
He can play, but I didn't think he matched Ted's analytics.
Bizarre draft overall.
I think this kid is a kick returner.

This is my favorite of the three RBs, mainly because he's got light quick feet and he's a heck of a receiver downfield.

All 3 RBs have some injury history... and clearly, they want to improve their depth and maybe they don't trust C-Mike (some have suggested it... though I think that's mainly because after kicking him out the second time, Seahawks coaches seemed to suggest they didn't trust him, because he still hadn't learned stuff (rumored to be the pass blocking assignments which had the OL coach upset)).
But they're all different.
The first RB Williams is a nice power bull RB which some short area quickness... like a poor man's Eddie Lacy. And I don't love his skill set, but might be able to get away with it, because he's such a decisive runner (which I LOVE)... he's very quick to pick a pretty good hole and hits it hard and quick.
Then RB Jones is sort of a jack of all trades, seems to be able to do everything well, but doesn't do any one thing great. And he's 5'9" and over 205 lbs... so I can't call him small... short maybe, but he's got some weight... he's not one of the sub 195 lb RBs.
The third one, RB Mays, might have the most physical potential, as he's
230lbs but still has some nice quickness and speed... but he basically missed all of last year due to an ankle injury... some have suggested he would of been a 4th round pick if he came out after his Jr year.... but he stayed and injured his ankle.

Maybe Jones can make a living "hiding" behind the OL and popping out for 5-6 yards. My guess is he will be on the PS until an injury calls him up to the 53.
