Top notch athlete. Poor man's Jason Spriggs but at guard?

Love this pick. Probably needs a year in the weight room and practice squad but he just might be the future at guard. He's got the athletic ability for sure.

OR Center!
When the Packers kids announced the selection (reading off of a card), they said "Center Kofi Amichia".

When asked about what other positions he has played (other than LT), Kofi said he played Center as a college freshmen, before moving to RT and the LT.

So I'm thinking Kofi is (at worse) the future back-up Center. At best, he might be able to earn a starting spot in the middle somewhere.

He'll be groomed to play guard, probably eventually switch Lane Taylor over to right guard and let this guy play left.
I guess we have to see if he is better than Lucas Patrick first.
Signing Jahri Evans to play right guard while Campen figures out his young players was a good move.

My guess is they will try him out at guard. I was thinking most NFL centers run about 6-1 or 6-2.
At 6-4 he might be a little big. Linsley is 6-3 so what do I know.

wpr;380538 so what do I know.

Is this rhetorical, Wayne?

I really hated losing Tretter.
The reason I thought he was better than Lindsley was his ability to snap the ball, pull out and the lead the stretch play.

I said it with you in mind Troy.
Knew you would appreciate it. I was sorry to see Tretter leave too.

Yeah Centers are usually limited by their size and brains more than how tall they are.

Kofi Amichia is the same height as Tretter and they're both shorter than Barclay, who are the guys we had working center last year.

And some remember that maybe the Packers best OL in the early 2000s had Center Mike Flanagan, who was taller than any of these guys at 6'5"

Yeah it was a knee jerk reaction. Sort like saying someone can't play OT because his arms are too short.
