How a shady high school football team faked its way onto ESPNN
Might want to do a little more research there ESPN. Even with a third party handling info, you don't have some kind of quality control to double check anything?
Bishop Sycamore's legitimacy in question after football team's 58-0 loss to IMG
This sounds more like a money laundering scheme or something.
If you tuned in and watched high school football on ESPN this weekend you may have noticed the prestigious IMG Academy, the established, Florida-based incubator of college athletes and future NFL pros, play against the clearly outmatched Bishop Sycamore — a school almost nobody had ever heard of.
Now, that’s not exactly a new phenomenon. Most people don’t know about a variety of high schools around the United States, but when you get obliterated 58-0 it’s only natural people are going to start wondering why this Ohio high school was chosen to be in a televised showcase game. It’s only got weirder from there.

Bishop Sycamore's legitimacy in question after football team's 58-0 loss to IMG
Bishop Sycamore's roster is also extremely questionable. For example, quarterback Jailen Knight got the start against IMG Academy and his Twitter account states that he is a three-star prospect in the 2023 class. However, Knight's Hudl page says that he plays for Perry Hall High School in Baltimore. Knight also has a 247Sports recruiting profile that lists him as an unrecruited quarterback who graduated in 2021. Meanwhile, quarterback Trillian Harris is listed on Hudl as a senior quarterback from Bishop Sycamore. However, Harris' 247Sports profile lists him as a California quarterback in the 2021 class who wasn't recruited.
This sounds more like a money laundering scheme or something.

The schools that lined up to play Bishop Sycamore are as responsible as anyone.
I was reading an article and every team as called a powerhouse or prominent team. They are so hungry to get an easy win they don't care who they play. Time and again they didn't do their due diligence when checking them out.
Their AD or HC sound bites remind me of Claude Rains in the movie Casablanca. When Humphrey Bogart asks him why he closed the bar. "I'm shocked to learn there's gambling in Rick's. Shocked." Only to pocket his winnings and walk away when the clerk brought it to him.
They are like cockroaches scurrying to find a dark corner or crack to hide in now that the light is shining on them.
