Romeo Doubs | Wide Receiver | Nevada | 6'2" - 201 lbs.
Overview
Will check the boxes for height, weight and speed, but tightness in his lower half limits the upside. Doubs has been a productive, high-volume target with speed to separate deep but he's a linear route-runner who will struggle to elude NFL press and separate from tight man coverage over the first two levels. His toughness, ball skills and special teams potential increase his chances of earning a backup role.
Strengths
- Good size/speed combination.
- Posted back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons.
- Labeled by scouts as tough and competitive with alpha demeanor.
- Early acceleration to overtake cornerback on go routes.
- Good awareness and footwork near the sideline.
- Catches with sudden, strong hands.
- Able to pluck with extension or make cradle catches in traffic.
- Possesses necessary courage catching in traffic.
- Productive punt returner with gunner potential in the pros.
Weaknesses
- Linear and limited as a route runner.
- Will have trouble releasing past press defenders.
- Runs with upright gait in the drive phase.
- Routes can be redirected and thrown off schedule.
- Tight hips limit separation success from break points.
- Room for improvement with catch focus through contact.
- Below-average run-after-catch talent.

Doubs is very raw and unpolished. Jon-Eric thinks he can be special when the coaches get their hands on him for a while. I don't see him getting on the grass much this season, except on teams.
Doubs says he patterns his game after AJ Green. Could start to be special in 2023 or '24.

Evidently he was the fastest WR at the Senior Bowl this spring.

Smooth route runner too. Much more smooth than Watson. I like Romeo Doubs(Dubbs) a lot. I think he and Watson can come in and have impact right away. I also believe Samori Toure can turn into a special WR, but will be the one that will take a couple years to fully develop.
People in the national media are saying Aaron Rodgers never depends on rookie WRs. Aaron knows these cats are going to have to play a role in the offense this season, and he will work to make sure they are ready. The talent is there. Aaron just needs to mold them in to the offense and what he wants. This is also a different Aaron than in years past. Way more laid back than he used to be. He is much more patient, better at coaching these guys up than he used to be. He will be hard on them, but won't give up on them, and just depend on Watkins, Lazard, and Cobbie.

I know right after he was drafted I said Romeo wouldn't get on the grass much this season. The more all 22 tape I watch on him, the more I like.
Yes, I sit up at 3 a.m. watching full games of all these rookies, and I don't get paid for it. My wife thinks I'm insane as well, so no worries.😏

Makes me laugh. I saw a guy on another website posting at 2:30 am and I questioned his sanity. It's a bad back that wakes him up. Fan how you like.
