Panthers hired their head coach and some of his long term staff assistants.
Rumor is the Panthers and Bills are discussing a RB Christian McCaffrey trade. PFF ranked McCaffrey currently as the 5th best RB this year.
Panthers also have WR DJ Moore, whom they rank as the 46th best, but I assume his ranking might be a bit better if he didn't have horrible QBs throwing to him, anyways he just signed a new deal and his $20 million for 2023 is guaranteed, which is a big commitment if you don't have a lot of availability cap space next offseason.
RG Austin Corbett is grading out as the 5th best OG by PFF and he also just signed a new deal, but this year he's cheap and his 2023 salary is guaranteed by it's only $9 million. He was drafted by the Browns, playing 1.5 years with them, before being traded to the Rams where he played 2.5 years and just won a Superbowl. So he lnowns the wide zone system well.
They have DT Derrick Brown and CB Jaycee Horn on rookie contracts, which I'm just going to assume they won't trade.
They also just signed S Xavier Woods, whom is ranked 22nd in the NFL largely due to his run stopping defense, while he's struggles more in coverage. Still, we're thin there. Nothing guaranteed in the future, and he's got two more years at about $4.5 million, might be solid #3 especially with Amos and Savage contracts coming up.
DT Matthew Ioannidis, whom has been part of some really good DLs (mostly with the Commanders) signed a one year deal, but most of it was signing bonus and therefore he's cheap as the Panthers will be paying the cost. Ioannidis is ranked 28th by PFF and outside of Kenny Clark is graded better than Packers DT... with Reed being ranked 40h and Lowry 80h. If fact Lowry for Ioannidis would probably save us cap space and give us the better player, of course the other team wouldn't nessarily want to do that.

I probably wouldn't offer a high enough draft pick for the Panthers, but I would honestly consider trading for RG Corbett, DT Ioannidis and SS Woods...
Since I kind of think their owner is trying to tank... and save money and rebuild.
The RG potentially could solidify our OL... DT might be our #2 DT behind only Clark and improve the DL depth at the very least. S for veterans depth and maybe freeing up Savage to play nickel should we want or need that.
They hardest part would be freeing up roster spots...

I think that just about everyone in the league would love to pick up Austin Corbett. The problem with that is I have to believe that if they are going to have a fire sale in order to get a high pick, that means quarterback, and that means they would want the means to protect that quarterback.
We have further obstacles as regards the cap. We are ok this year, but I think most cap gurus are in consensus that we are in real trouble next year. Good find though, and as far as freeing up a roster spot, as far as I'm concerned, they can start by releasing Amari Rodgers, patience be damned.

I don't think Packers have enough salary cap space for anyone. We need X million to be able to move players from active roster and back and what not. So even if we have $6 million, that thought has to be considered.
Also, if it's WR ... why we fooling ourselves?
Rodgers apparently needs to trust WR before throwing them the ball. And it seems he needs to see trust built through plethora weeks/months of practice.

True, but if they trade away RB Christian McCaffrey, then I think (and I could be wrong) but I think the Panthers owner could be in tank mode to make sure he gets the #1 pick... so they get their #1 choice of QB.
