I really like Giannis mentality here, but when you basically beat yourself when you are poised to win it all -- that has to be considered a failure. The composure Giannis has during this two minutes is pretty good. I think it's what we expect, but you can hear his emotion and he well you listen. NBA fan or not, it's a good little lesson of sorts.

Here are my thoughts on this.
when you are the #8 seed, and get knocked off by the #1 seed, that is understandable and not a failure.
When you are the #1 seed and get whipped by a team that had to win by play in game just to make the playoffs, that's a failure in my opinion.
The Bucks won 58 of 82 games, the best in all the NBA. The expectations are much higher. You don't know how many more seasons that they can do that. Home field advantage through the playoffs, and it meant nothing. A wasted season.
WHen your team stinks, you don't have high expectations and it's not a shock if they don't go far. That's not the case with the current Bucks team.

The Heat would have been the 7th seed if the NBA didn't group seeds 7 - 10 into a play-in money grab. So, to dress the Heat up as they "needed" to win a play-in game is kind of misleading.

The Heat were plagued with injuries all season and were one of the hottest teams post all-star break.

Even with this said, the Bucks had no business wetting their pants and giving this series a chance for the Heat. I watched them during the regular season and what we saw vs Heat was not even close to what I saw. When Bucks won Game 2, I did not feel confident because they had to TIE  a record of three point shots made just to win a game! That's not a championship team!
