At one time I insured the business that made it and dozens of other sports figures including the Michael Jordan statue outside the United Center. THAT one I insured while it was being made. I didn't tell the insurance company. I was certain they would freak out and decline to insure it. After it was done I was at the insurance company's Chicago office and told my underwriter. She said she wished she knew about it so she could come out on an "inspection" and take a few photos. I asked her if she knew about it would she have approved it. She thought for a moment and said "Probably not." Her manager would have been too nervous. I smiled and said exactly. The exposure for a loss was minimal but because of his name the fear factor was great.
