When the team fights and plays a clean game and comes up short. It happens and I can accept that. When the Packers trip over themselves and shoot themselves in the foot in a game I think they could have easily won by double digits? That shit burns deep.
Special Teams spot the enemy 7 right out of the gate. Yeah, Nixon recovered it and officials missed it, but KEEP YOUR HANDS ON THE BALL and don't let the officials impact the damn game!
Defense
They played a damn good game. I really think Cooper and Williams have a bright future. It's said and I agree that it takes three years for guys, but damn Lukas Van Ness seems like he's only a champion in the weight room. I haven't seen enough from 90 to feel encouraged about 2025.
I'd like us to find an upgrade over Quay Walker at LB and add some depth at CB. I think Jaire Alexander might be done as an elite CB in this league.
Offense
They basically jizzed all over themselves. Josh Jacobs is a real damn good asset to this offense! Jordan Love is starting to really concern me. That deep ball interception to Dontayvion Wicks was under thrown. He had a TD if he gets more on it. My hope is that there's injuries affecting him that we're not privy to.
I think we need to add a veteran WR and veteran OL. Jenkins is the only good OL we have. The next tier would be Tom. And then the rest are just pieces.
I fear Doubs career might be over. And Watson was healthy for most of the year, but that ACL is gonna have him out until probably October. So, adding a veteran WR will be good.
Special Teams
Brandon McManus has been pretty damn good all season. That missed 38 yarder really stung though. I hope he's back for 2025.
The Packers were the youngest NFL team in 2023 and 2024. If Xavier McKinney and Josh Jacobs showed us anything, it's that adding veteran leadership is a huge positive.

Matt LaFleur helps explain Jordan Love's three interceptions in playoff loss to Eagles
After assessing the tape, LaFleur pointed to a lack of details within routes and a lack of ball placement for why the interceptions happened, and credited veteran cornerback Darius Slay for making an incredible play on the first pick.
On the first play of the second quarter, Love threw a go-ball to Dontayvion Wicks, but Wicks failed to successfully “stack” Slay down the field, Love threw the ball a little too far inside and Slay made a veteran move to get into position and made the difficult catch.
“The pick that Slay had. That was a heck of a play,” LaFleur said Tuesday. “You want to talk about the little details. We had an opportunity to stack him. Yeah, the ball was a little inside. But we have to make sure we stack in that situation. That was a great job by (Slay) grabbing his wrist, sling-shotting himself, and he made a hell of a catch.”
Wicks gained separation off the ball against Slay on a vertical route but wasn’t able to “stack” — which leverages the coverage player behind the receiver and creates a better throwing window for the quarterback. Slay was able to win the leverage battle and beat Wicks to the football.
