I didn't think that their passing defense would be ranked as high as it is. Then again, they've faced some good rushing teams and they've always been trailing, so offenses tend to run it on them sooner or later.
I think that we'll, once again, see a healthy dose of Grant. He can pad his stats a little, but overall, the passing game would be way more productive.
I hope that we'll finally see some sacks and force Freeman to make some mistakes. He's a rookie going up against our secondary and Dom Capers. If we can't get pressure on him and force him to make some mistakes, especially with their average O-line, I don't think we'll get it on anyone.

Screw it, start Ahman Green and let him get his 40 something yards.
At this point I don't see a huge difference between any of our 3 backs other than I actually trust Green to catch a 2 yard pass.
=)

Pleased this thread is up and running.
It is always the best read on game week.
I once read somewhere that after a tough loss, the chance to get on the road is a blessing.
A time to bond, to focus, and to build without all of the personal distractions of home.
It also is especially good to be traveling, boding, focusing, and building when you are 10 point favorites.
I think the second half of last week is a foundation this team can build on going into next week.
There is no doubt that, like all of us in game day Packer Chat...
there was a major rise in energy on the Packers sidelines as there was in the chat room.
This is something to build on.
If they were blown out in the second half like they were in the first it would be a different team getting on the plane Friday.
Perhaps two losses to the Vikings and being behind them so far at this point of the season is the best thing for this team.
Now they can focus on a single goal that is attainable.
Making the playoffs.
Sometimes one needs a single goal with the other option being total failure (Not Making The Playoffs.)
to be focused.
When they do that....
When they focus on that single goal of making the playoffs... When they accomplish that.
Well, the slate is rubbed clean.
They can be the Wild Card Superbowl Champions.
Last weekend, the great come back, the almost..
That can be powerful. It can be the birth of a group of individuals who come together as one. A team that just jelled... based on a set back, and a belief that came with a brilliant come back that just fell a little short, early in the season.
Sometimes a road trip is a perfect remedy.
A hotel bed can keep one awake long enough to think about what is important.

Our schedule sets up very nicely before we hit our tough stretch.
I think that even in our current state, this team should beat Tampa, Detroit, and Dallas. The 49ers are tough, but they're now without Staley and Clements.
8-3 would be fantastic heading into 3 weeks of Baltimore, Chicago, and Pittsburgh.

"cheeseheads123"I believe Josh Freeman is making his first start this week.Yes. I'm curious to see how he does. I haven't seen him play before, in college or pre season. It should be interesting.
