Man, do we outrank them in the stat department...
Simply said, if our defense shows up like it did last week, the 49ers won't have a chance. Their QB position is too unstable, apart from Staley they don't have any great blockers up front and their WRs are good, but not great. Not now, at least. Great potential there, though. Frank Gore is pretty scary, but if we can contain him like we did with AP etc. we should be ok.
On the other side, they're coached by Singletary. The magic appears to have worked out a little by now, but the man gets his players ready. The most fiery coach I know. He pushes them to their limits. We'll see how that'll work out. If they can figure something out to get some pressure, this might be a long day.
That said, besides Haralson, who is a decent pass rusher, they don't have anyone to get to us. Their ILB tandem is pretty scary with Spikes and Willis, but they're mainly run stoppers. Willias can cover, as well. Their CBs, combined with their average pass rush, should make for a good day for our offense.
Then again, it looked like that against Tampa, as well.
If we go into this game the exact same way we went into last weeks, we'll win. We'll just have to execute. Especially if you want to run screens against Willis. Someone has to pick that guy up, because he's going to see through it in no time.

Limp by Finley.. interesting..
Jennings still nicked up.. his face spoke of some pain on that big hit.. wouldn't surprise me if he was rather quite this week.

49ers week: Wednesday practice report
By Greg A. Bedard of the Journal Sentinel
Nov. 18, 2009 12:23 p.m.
Green Bay - Team was outside again on a very nice day in town. (Please continue, please continue)
Here's what we saw:
* Packers appear to be as healthy as they've been in some time as every player went through at least jogthroughs.
* CB Charles Woodson (hip) and DE Cullen Jenkins (ankle) got what is almost regular rest for them on Wednesdays.
* LB Clay Matthews stuck around after jogthroughs and went through some more drills although it appears he was limited.
* LB Aaron Kampman, RT Mark Tauscher and TE Jermichael Finley all returned to practice.
* Kampman appeared to be back at his starting position but Brad Jones rotated in as well.
* Tauscher got first reps at RT, but T.J. Lang rotated in. It would make sense if there was some sort of rotation on Sunday. That was the plan against Tampa Bay before Tauscher got hurt.
* Finley looked like he didn't skip a beat. He had a very limp but he still ran around and made athletic plays. Looked fine.
* Jordy Nelson got a lot of work on returns with Tramon Williams.
* WR Greg Jennings may still be bothered a bit by what ailed him on Sunday (knee contusion)

I think this will be tough, in the slobberknocker range.
Hopefully our defense will carry on their hot form into this game, against an almost impotent offensive unit.
That being said, I hope their are no nasty surprises - ala Peyton Hill or Peyton Smith.

There are tickets available for this game at face value. Click HERE.
From time to time, a visiting team returns tickets for a game at Lambeau Field. When such an occasion occurs, the tickets will be made available immediately on Ticketmaster.com. The Packers are pleased to offer this easy and efficient method to purchasing tickets, if they are available.
Fans interested in checking on ticket availability should log on the week of the game to determine if any are available.

Well it looks like Taush will start this week with Lang getting some time as well. I think we should win this game, Vernon Davis is an obvious threat but with how Woodson shut down Witten and Winslow I think we'll be ok there. We need to do what we did last week though, if we can't get any pressure on the QB it doesn't matter who we're facing even if Alex Smith is the QB. I say Packers roll...

Playing our 3rd center doesn't sit very well with me against Franklin, a very good DT.
San Fran is going to be ready, Singletary will make sure of that. GB needs to avoid a letdown after the big win against Dallas.

I'm hoping Capers has the same attitude he had against the Cows.
I enjoyed those DB blitzes and sending random LBs in.
