I disagree. I think the absence of CM3 was a huge deal. With no pass rush our defense is not going to carry us.

Well that was fun................. Not.
If we can't beat the Dilphins at home I am a little worried to say the least about the rest of the games before the week off. Actually I'm worried about the games after the break too.

I'm referring to the penalty on the punt.
Someone obviously didn't familiarize himself with the new rules for this season (and please, McCarthy ass-kissers, don't blame the player who lined up over center).
But yes, you're right.
Not having Clay out there is definitely not doing us any good.
Neither is the absence of a feature back.
And that's on Ted.

Regarding the punt, I agree with you. My first thought was "shouldn't the ST coach have taught him how to line up?"

And that was the turn-around play in the game from where I sit.
And who supervise's the ST coach?
Hence the coaching loss.
I'm surprised that anyone would think anything else when it's that obvious.
But that's the nature of this board:
eternal blind optimism and excusism ala the 1980's.

A big part of this loss was that our special teams were more awful than Miami's special teams. It wasn't just the penalty by Francois that allowed the Dolphins to keep the ball--although that was big. There was another bad special teams play later. In overtime, the Dolphins got the ball first and went three-and-out, which should have given the Packers good field position, but because of a decent punt and a Packers penalty (holding by Korey Hall) the Packers lost 56 yards of field position and had to start on their own 16.
Really, there's no point focusing on any one play though. The Packers were bound to lose this game because they could not protect their QB and the Dolphins could. That was the difference in the game.
