Holy crap! The Packers won. I thought when Favre slipped and fell, then got back up, it was going to be a "miracle" play. But it wasn't! Not even close with the throw! Awesome!

"Since69"I have nothing positive to offer.
They're starting to put it together, we're continuing to fall apart.
We're gonna get crushed, 38 - 23.

I was wrong...

I picked the Vikes too, although I thought it would be very close. Glad to be wrong. The defense came up big. Usually the pass rush fades as the game goes on, but this time the pass rush increased on that last drive. Only one sack, but plenty of pressure, and usually just from four rushers.

Obviously the Packers' O-line played big too. Neither QB was at his best, so it really came down to the line play, which the Packers won.

great quote on NFL.com.
(I am paraphrasing it.)

I thought Brett had throw his last TD to a Packer in Lambeau.

Final exhausted thoughts:

Defense played outstanding - just the right mix of respecting AP and the pass.

JC these refs are terrible (as confirmed by my MN Viking fan coworker - see it's not just me.

Rodgers recovered nicely from the picks.

McCarthy called a great game on offense - hey, there are running plays in this here playbook (although I don't like the back-to-back Kuhn plays on 4th).
Also, way to actually win a challenge or two.

Cwood seemed improved from lately (although still not to last year's form).

BJ had some nice runs.

Wow the announcers could have complimented our screens when they were actually good but didn't.

I wish Chris Collinsworth would shut the hell up and show the replay.

and finally,

Wow, good game by both teams, I am emotionally exhausted.
Can anybody imagine how happy NBC execs are over this game?

"hardrocker950"I think our D is going to make or break this game. If our injured players come in and make good plays conisistantly, we have a good shot at it. Pass defense will be a huge factor for both teams.

On offense, my biggest worry is the pash rush of the vikes against our weak OL. When your crappy OL has to deal with the likes of guys like Jarred Allen, could make for a rough night.

I predict our D for 3 sacks, 1 int, 1 fumble recovery. Our O for 3 TDs - 2 passing, 1 rushing. Final score 27-24.

I guess I called that one pretty close.

Yes, they were both great. I wasn't surprised by Tramon, but Clifton was a surprise. Bulaga was also excellent. Maybe he's got his timing down for playing on the right side.

Collinsworth mentioned a couple times that Clifton had been playing well the last few weeks. I sure hadn't seen that. But he sure was good tonight.
