"zombieslayer"Well, my big thing would be performance.
If there's a performance boost with the new site, then it's a good thing.
If I could say my absolute biggest criticism with the current site - it would be performance.
There were times when PackersHome.com was painfully slow.
I think the slow was because of the previous host. Since the middle to late December, it should be better. The first few days of this year should have been slower because of the Google Analytics, but that's fixed now. The site should be performing well.

Personally, I like the scroll, but I'm willing to give that up if someone can point out how to stop the scrolling and behave how the one here currently does.
Attached are the necessary files.

I would love to be able to discuss slighter wider NFL topics in the main Packers forum.
I enjoy talking about other NFL teams, particularly in the offseason but throughout the year too.
I can never be bothered to click through to the NFC North section or the General NFL discussion section and post things, in part because they dont seem very busy or well used sections.
For me it's just much simpler to have one forum in which to track new posts etc.
I don't have the time to keep on top of three message boards along with all the other NFL websites I read.
If someone posted something about another team which I'm not interested in I would just ignore that thread.
Anyway, just thought I'd throw that out there.

Cool Cool. Looking for things that the current PH site has that we want to be in the new PH. After that's concluded, we'll then work on improvements, which again is why we're switching software. The new software provides a larger platform for more gooder additions.

Zero I know you prefer that your website not be a clone of anyone else's site and I am ok with that.
The U of Illinois site that I frequent has several forums.
1 for college basketball (mainly U of I).
One for college football (mainly U of I).
a third for all other sports college, pro, high school.
Then a general thread for everything else.
I like the way we have the Packers in there own thread but Brit is correct.
I just don't venture into the "Around the NFL" forum very often.
I have noticed that people have intentionally posted items in the Packer forum and had you move it just so the majority would know it is there.
that seems like it makes more work for you.

If you guys won't go into the other forums, why don't you just hit the "Active Topics" link?
That way you won't know which forum articles are posted in, and you'll just post in the ones that strike your fancy based on the title.
It makes no sense to dilute the Packers-specific forum with non-Packers information just because some members don't want to click over to other sub-forums.

Did anyone have any luck with this?

I only glance at the shout box on an occasional basis so I did not try it.
