Good article, being a fan of any team in any sport is both rewarding and burdensome sometimes.
You have to ride out the lows and enjoy the highs, this is a high, win or lose next week, great year and we have a bright future.
Even this season alone, think about all the highs (this week) and lows (losing the Lions).
Enjoy every moment these two weeks.

I think I'm enjoying this year more then any other because as great as Rodgers has been, i'm cheering on the whole team but liking each individual. In 96 it was more just Favre, a few other guys I liked and then the rest of the team. I love it that this year I'm a big fan of every player at every position. My only problem is coming from a hockey country I went with the playoff beard for luck and it's getting itchy but I'll gladly keep scratching for 2 more weeks.

It's kind of the "white men can't jump" scenario.
We've got nothing to lose going into this game.
Given all the injuries and adversity, no one expected us ever to get this far.
Yet we did.
Still, a win would be one for the AGES.
And it would cement Arodge as an elite QB.

"Zero2Cool"Keiana was pretty excited after the game. She said "daddy are we going to the Super Bowl??" It was cute.

Those are the moments Kevin.

There are 84,600 seconds in a day.
Those 3 single seconds that she took to ask you that question...
And the hug that was included makes any rough day, a great day.

Nice post.

(and McCarthy as a good coach ... sorry I had to)

This was amazing. I can honestly say I wasn't nervous, until the game started. I was going crazy, lets get the game going. I played the Super Bowl four or five times on Madden to kill the time and maybe nerves. When our defense held them, I was thinking okay we got something to build from, got the ball, even score, and we get it back to open the 3rd. I was thinking every possession was going to be critical.

The first touchdown, I jumped out of the couch, pumping my fist shouting YES ... YES ...FUCKIN YES!!!!
Keiana came around the corner, peaking, saying "ahh.. daddy... everything ...okay?" in a soft whats going on kind of voice. I said PACKERS SCORED!!

She was a little excited, sat next to me on the couch, placing a pillow between us. I asked what the pillow was for, she said "last time i sat by you, you squeezed my leg REALLY hard daddy".
I grabbed her knee last week and said "We're going to the SUPER BOWL!".

During the 3rd quarter, you'd think I had lost my will to live. I remember thinking, great season, very proud, ... wait ... its the 3rd quarter it is NOT over yet ... believe... BELIEVE. Punt after Punt, I kept saying, we are still leading, still got points on them. The last touchdown, I don't know what came over me, but I was never more confident in anything when I said "the Steelers will NOT score a TD". I believed it with every bone in my body.

I watched the Packers returning to titletown and there were two times where my eyes were completely glazed over to the point if I blinked, a drop would have trickled down my cheek. I don't know if grown men are supposed to allow a sports franchise to mean this much to them, but I've never seen the Packers as JUST a sports franchise. It's an extension of family.

Super Bowl XLV Champion Green Bay Packers, it sounds so ... right!
