*knocks on wood, formica, and anything resembling wood*
No sweat PIB.. borrow the leg.. just make sure you return it, gotta little of all as described above.
On topic.. I agree.. let him get completely healthy.. we have some pretty decent talented depth at LB.. Between Chillar, Bishop, Hodge or White.. we should be able to cover our bases at LB..

you have formica in your leg!!
awesome.
but seriously... you are exactly right.
Chillar, Bishop, Hodge and White are all very capable linebackers and reason enough not to push Hawk.
I still don't think Grant or Hawks injuries are real concerns.
I think its just coaches being safe until football games that mean something are on the schedule.

"Rios39"We definitely need Pickett and Jolly playing for the start of the year.
Agreed...
More worried about Pick then Hawk at this point because of the unknown at DT..
Hodge, Chilly can MAYBE fill in and we know what they can bring

Not having Hawk would certainly hurt.
I think many of us would realize how good he really is if and when he was not in there.
However, props to T.T. for going out and finding QUALITY backup to a crucial position within the defense.
No, I'm not kissing Ted's ass, I'm just saying, I think it was a good move.
And I don't really see how one could argue with such.

MM doesn't even have to finish saying week-to-wee... and I start going into my Jerry Seinfeld configuration:
"I'm freakin' out, here!"

"Tromadz"C'mon, guys.
He'll start the opener.
2 weeks is a LONG time to recover.
Even if he doesn't play the opener, these next 2 games are great chances to get someone reps for that game.
Chillar?
Maybe Hodge or Bishop move over?
"week to week" during the middle of preseason doesn't worry me much.
Yeah but Hawk HAS never EVER missed any practices
that SHOULD be of a concern

"Tromadz"Just because he's never missed time before and NOW is doesn't mean he's on his death bed.
Means the injury bug finally got him.
He was lucky enough to last this long.
Color me not concerned.
The sky is FALLING don't ya see?
Seriously?
I am not worried it is going to keep him away all season..I am worried that he might loose some strength, and stamina..
I love stamina
