"DakotaT"Whats the over/under he beats out either Lee or Underwood; and Devin "the cat with nine lives" Bush is still one of the 53 left standing at the end of August?

House is a pretty good value pick, but if we can pick up a Shields in UDFA status why waste a pick.
Although we are very good in the draft - we are extremely fortunate to have Williams and Shields playing at their current levels.

Who's Devin Bush?

I asume so, as Bush is a STs demon while Lee is an oftenly injured... Nothing.

Cut your losses with Lee, see if Underwood can still progress into that player you could see he was becoming in his first season and start working on House.

Woodson won't last that much longer. Shields would make for an ok starter, based on what we've seen so far, but nothing special. Tramon is amazing.

Next to that, in today's league, you'd like to have 3 corners who play like starters. Mainly because they pretty much are. Williams - Shields - House - Underwood - Bush would look like a pretty decent 5 deep CB set for the future, if they do all play to their potential, eventually.

It's too early to tell of course, but I think there is a decent chance that Shields could become a special player. For a player to improve that quickly is really remarkable. He has momentum on his side. He also has speed and ball skills. He's a lot farther along than Tramon Williams was at this point in his career.

You are totally right.

That's why I added "at this point", although that still makes it kind off vague. I agree with you, though.

Another decent pick up by Thompson and like Cobb, House comes into a team stacked with great corners (Williams and Woodson) to learn from.

I'm glad we got a corner because we have a number of question marks there for the future. Seems like he has a nice high ceiling. As mentioned, let's coach him up, we need our young CBs to tap their potential.

Shields could be a great one but we can always use more.
