i would be very very surprised if we signed anyone now.
1. O-lineman takes sooooo long to gel, i don't think TT would feel that signing a new guy would pay off.
2. DL would not take as long to gel, but i'd say it would take about 6 weeks.
and in 6 weeks, hopefully harrell can contribute, so a new d lineman would only start contributing about the same time as harrell comes back.

Im not worried about our D line. Heres why: Ryan Pickett gets healthy..Those probablems become a lot smaller.
Dropped passes is what concerns me. I know they are just a lack of concentration..But that is a drive killer, and more importantly a game killer..When you drop passes like they have been. Thats gotta get solved. But the nice thing is that there are no glaring weaknesses on this team. Good deal.

Definitely. Its nice when you know coming into a season that you're team is capable.

Defensive Line and backup QB but I don't expect anything happening now. I'm sure we'll see something happen when teams including the Packers have to cut it down to 53 guys but the Packers aren't going to get any big name players or anything in my opinion.

I dont expect big names.
Its not TT's style and big names mean big money usually.
I look for TT to bring in some solid "no namer" vets who can contribute. 8)

What Daunte's current state of availibility?
IMHO a veteran QB to back up Arod should be a priority.

OL Free Agents
still looks like some decent big boys out there.
See Williams on the list and wonder if GB would have any interest in getting him back?
After his rather desparing remarks after leaving; probably not.
There certainly is a goodly number of big boys GB could bring in for some try-outs.

There was a report somewhere saying that Culpepper was now open to any role where he can contribute and not just look for a starting role.

If that's the case, he would be worth a shot. I am having doubts about Flynn and Brohm im not sure either guy is ready yet.
