The Panthers feel they are going to come away with a win.
I feel the same about the Packers, meaning, the Packers will come away with a win. 2 - 0
:)
Somehow Aaron Rodgers is getting the Peyton Manning and Tom Brady treatment? Wait, didn't dhazer say he wouldn't be so hot after teams got some film on him? :)

Thomas DavisMan, I’m tired of talking about [Packers quarterback] Aaron Rodgers,We’ll line up and we’re going to compete as hard as we can and we should come away with a victory.

I think that Cam will expect every team's secondary to be as easy to beat as the Cardinals.
It might be interesting.

Wade;192415This game should not be close.
Prediction 1:
GB by 20 or more.
Prediction 2:
Newton doesn't pass for 300+ again until sometime after week 8.
Prediction 3:
Newton has 4 INTs and a fumble in this game.
I'm with Wade in prediction #1.
We win this one in a blowout.
Did we just jinx the Packers? Well, let's see.
What's more important? How people on the field play the game or two guys writing something on an internet thread? :-k

Should-nots don't matter. Look at week 1 in the NFL, folks. The Panthers are an NFL tea... aww, screw it -- Green Bay by at least 10+ (which is still a sizeable win, so don't get your panties in a twist if you can't accept at least a 2TD victory margin).
Just so I can brace myself from becoming apoplectic: should I expect any "FIRE ______" if we don't meat certain criteria (i.e. the other team makes the game interesting in any given quarter, thus prompting the "we always let teams creep in during the __st/nd/rd/th quarters." God forbid we win and Nerdmann poses the question of whether it 'really counts?').

So all the time and effort and money put into the site and it's just "an internet thread". Thanks, dickhead! :)

I wanted to refrain from predictions this season ...
Rodgers 22-31 342 yards passing 3TD
Grant 12 for 45
Starks 15 for 70 TD
Packers 38 Panthers 24
I think the Panthers get a garbage score or two in the last 8 minutes of the game.

Here's another match-up that just bubbled up.
Apparently Otah is going through the protocol from a concussion in their game against the Cardinals.
Matthews may be going against rookie Byron Bell.
Will be something to watch.

This is why I love this game.. match ups and adjustments are oh so vital.. and the variables that feed off them.. well it is truly what the game is about.
This game, above most others is such a dependent game upon all factors of the team.. and how the coaching staff and players manipulate them or get schooled by them.
It truly is the basis for "Any given Sunday".

Wade;192415This game should not be close. This is not last years defense by far, we can't pressure a qb to save our ass and they will be using Hawk or Bishop to spy Newton
Prediction 1:
GB by 20 or more.
I'll take that bet for $500, 99.5% of the time we play down to the weaker teams. Besides Atlanta when was the last time we won a game by double digits
Prediction 2:
Newton doesn't pass for 300+ again until sometime after week 8. He will get it before that he has us then Jaxs and also the Saints defense. So I will take this bet also
Prediction 3:
Newton has 4 INTs and a fumble in this game.

Zero2Cool;192461I watched twice as well and there were several times where players, mainly in the secondary were grabbing for the ball, rather than attempting to wrap up. Unless they were trying to arm tackle, which I don't believe to be true.
Zero or Greg can you give me a link or PM me how you rewatch games if it's online that is. I'd love to be able to do that, if possible.
This game should be a big one for both sides of the ball. Maybe even the "special" guys will set up a score again (hopefully for us). Hopefully we will see a better pass rush and a continued use of the running game with Starks and Grant. We can't win a Super Bowl without a running game. (Just to piss you off, zombie)

coltonja - I record the games at home, then walk through them editing out the commercials.
