I always find it fun to go lurk into the enemy forums thinking there might be something interesting over there...a possible debate or some good fans to talk to. This Broncos forum had me laughing/feeling bad for their fan base. They are just....lost.

Thread- Broncos 13 point Underdogs against Packers

I was expecting to go in there and see fans completely pissed off that they are a 13 point underdog and instead, they are making jokes about how it isn't a bigger spread. Happy to be a Packers fan. [woot]

This game can definitely be a trap game. However, I think the Packers will be well prepared and happy to be playing back home. Aaron Rodgers has been great these past three weeks and he won't be slowing down anytime soon, especially if the running game remains successful and our offensive line continues to protect him (Rodgers sacked only 5 times).

I went to the Broncos roster to take a small look at the stats and though stats don't always tell the whole story, this team is terrible. Two major defensive factors for the Broncos are the injuries to Dumervil and Bailey. It looks like Dumervil is back practicing so they have their little duo in Miller and Dumervil (or as they call it over in Broncoland, Von Doom). Doesn't make a difference really as the Packers offensive line is playing exceptionally well right now. Champ Bailey is still injured and looks to be out for this game.

Offense is also battered. Eddie Royal and Demaryius Thomas are both injured and I am not sure on their status. Knowshon Moreno is back so that opens up a little something for the Broncos, but not much.

Packers take it. Packers offense is just too powerful.
38-21

Zero2Cool;193967Might have to change some rankings tomorrow morning ... either way, hope the Packers decimate the Bronco's.
I plan on sporting my Greg Jennings home jersey at work Friday. It won't go over well, but it'll be worth it.

If anyone gives you crap about the Gregorious jersey, get really defensive and say "Jennings is my Dad!" Then they'll get off your case (they'll probably crap in their pants).

We beat the Broncos by 20+ pts.
OK, I have to be right some time this year.

If anyone gives me crap about the Packers, I simply ask "Excuse me, do you know who the World Champions are?". The best is when someone tells me I only like the Packers cuz they won it all last year.

We only allow a 89.0 QB Rating (which with the QB stat explosion around the league is a solid number). The reason we're ranked is 31st is because teams have been forced to throw at us for most of each game, and the ranking is taken from yards allowed. That's also why the run defense is number one.

Which brings me to my final wondering... why can't you quote "Rush Defense = 1st" and be happy, but instead make a post like this?

Edit: Not saying I'm particularly happy about our Pass D because I think it's the single weakest aspect of the team right now, but it's nowhere near terrible.

We're getting to that point in the seasons were MM's teams begin to shit themselves.
MM marks the season by quarters.
They always "start fast."
The second quarter is where they fall flat on their faces.
This is the last game of that first quarter of the season.
I think it will be very telling.
We can dominate this team and blow them out.
Will we?
If we "let them hang around," that will be a bad sign.
The Saints were a very good team.
The Panthers?
Well, Cam Newton was an unknown with dynamic playmaking ability and guys to whom he could get the ball.
The Bears?
Well, anything can happen in the oldest rivalry in the game.

This week?
No excuses.
Shut the Broncos DOWN.
Anyone think we will?

If the traditional MM lull means we tank a few games now when they don't amount to much and win the Super Bowl, I'll take it.

Playing with a 2 score lead for most of the 2nd half makes for giving up lots of pointless yards.

I will take a 31st ranking in the pass D if it means we are playing from a multi score lead all the time.

Yards don't win games.

My Bronco buddy just told me at lunch that it's unfair for the Packers to get a bye week this week and their regularly scheduled bye.

Another game where it shouldn't be close IMO.

And so I'm going to predict routs until the Packers get it right.

Green Bay 51
Denver 0
