The offensive line is still pretty offensive.
I think our ace in the hole is our salary cap abundance.
We have to hope that some team will get caught with a lack of cap room and will have to cut a really good tackle or guard or both and we can pick them up.
We have plenty of cap room.
I think we may end up using that cap space for a QB, because I'm betting one of our QB's is going to come down with an injury this week that will put them on IR (wink)

I hope they don't trade Hodge.
To be honest I think he can be better than Barnett if he stays healthy.
We have some outstanding linebckers, no doubt.
Why can draft backers and can't find a corner that can play?

I am more disappointed in the performance and ability to find guards that can consistently play solid ball game in and out than the lack of depth at CB. Williams can flat out play for a youngin.. Blackmon is okay and an I think Lee will develop rapidly..

At guard, we seem to have players step up for a couple of games and then fall on their tail again.. I know youth will bring that, but their lack of overall growth has been disappointing.. they make the same mistakes over and over again.. they start to play tall, lose leverage then their footwork goes into the tank. Sometimes I think I could display better interior footwork with only one of those boys with two. (I am only half joking.. )

Honestly though.. it is either poor coaching or guys that are lazy not to be playing with proper leverage.. or maybe they lack the ultimate quality one has to have to play along the oline, fire and heart.

There's no way Hodge is better than Barnett.
Barnett's one of the best MLBs in the NFL.
Don't be surprised if he's in the Pro Bowl this year.

"MassPackersFan"I'd like to see Jake Allen as the #6 WR on the team, definitely.

Poppinga and Chillar have shown me absolutely nothing this preseason, especially considering they should be taking turns stepping up, as they're supposedly competing for the starting spot.
If Bishop can play that role well, I see no reason not to start him.

I agree with you on Chillar, but Poppinga has had a good camp. He sewed up the starting SLB position pretty quickly, and he made a few good plays in the preseason games, which is a few more than Chillar made. I like Bishop a lot, but he's never played SLB--mostly just MLB with some work in the past couple weeks at WLB.

Barnett is all over the field, he is one of the most valuable players on defense.
Remember when we played the Seahawks a few years ago on that snowy Monday Night.
Nick Barnett missed the game due to a broken hand and Shaun Alexander ran for 200 yards.
Coincidence?
I think not :)

Barnett is good, for sure. We seem to have alot of LB's that look good. Thats a good problem to have.
Hopefully we can get the O-line together. If Rodgers has some time, i think he will be real good. And our RB's look good....but we need the O-line to open some holes for the guys. Lumpkin made some good runs with hardly any opening blocks. Imagine what he could do if he got to the second level?
