Judging the defenses, it's interesting to see how close both teams are at giving up points. Both struggle in the passing game but the Bears a lot better at stopping the run.
Bears have always been noted as a bend but don't break defense however, while facing elite offenses. I'm pretty sure what would make these 2 defenses close would be the Packers stopping the big plays.
I just noted this as the Bears are known as a good-great D and the Packers are known as a really poor D... not taking turnovers into account here.

I'll be there with my son.
It will be fun finding a place to get something to eat and get gas for the car.
Also putting on all the cold weather gear should be a bit of a challenge but I am sure we will manage.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

da Bears are in a tailspin.
After beating the Chargers at home, they've lost 20-25 to the Raiders, 3-10 to the Chiefs, 10-13 to the Broncos, then 14-38 to the Seahawks.
Yes, the Seahawks.
I haven't checked, but I think Matt Forte is still out.
Forte is one of the better all-purpose RBs in the NFL and is their leading pass catcher.
Folks make fun of Cutler, but he's one of the better NFL QBs.
I'd put him in the top 15, easily.
He's tougher than people give him credit for.
That OL isn't good enough for that scheme and now that Haine is running it, Haine's throwing INT after INT.
DO NOT KICK THE BALL TO HESTER.
He already has 3 return TDs this year.
Just don't do it.
If we avoid Hester and limit the turnovers, this game will be a blowout.
I say limit turnovers because da Bears are good at forcing fumbles and picking off passes.
They will have no offense.
But between Hester's returns and da Bears' D forcing turnovers in the worst possible places, they can get some points.
Protect [ar].
I'd rather keep a TE or RB back.
This is where Brandon Jackson would have been nice to have.

They also will be without Johnny Know for the remainder of the year.
He's one of their better wide receivers and really keeps defenses honest.
That injury he suffered was BRUTAL!
If you didn't see it, it's worth searching for the video/picture.
I feel really bad for the guy, but it sounds like he lucked out and will be back next season.
I can't imagine the Packers losing this game.
Unfortunately, I see Rodgers taking some nasty hits.

Clifton is taking some drills but I doubt he will play. Bulaga nothing. Sitton would help as far as giving Rodgers a pocket to step up on. Outside pass rush can be nullified a bit if the interior gives Rodgers a spot to step into. Newhouse has been absolutely awful at getting beat wide.

Yes, I forgot to mention Knox.
As for the last paragraph, that's why I want to keep someone back.
da Bears are pretty good against the run but I still would like to see us run with Grant/Kuhn more than usual.
I don't want to see [ar] taking hits with our OL being as banged up as it is, and especially against da Bears who are pretty good at leveling opposing QBs.

Wouldn't it be cool if Grant had a game like he had against Seattle in 2007?
[grin1]
(And, if I recall correctly, he's had a couple of his best (i.e. 150-ish yards, 25-ish carries) games against Chicacgo, hasn't he?)
