So far I have read/heard nothing but Giants love (not here, obviously) and to an extent, I am glad the media is following this hype the Giants are feeding them. The Packers are the #1 seed for a reason and the Giants can sit there and suck on that 2007 teet for as long as they want. Neither team is the same and I don't get why people are jumping back to 2007 (other than the players that were a part of that game).
Our entire team is rested and with MM as head coach, you have to believe that they are ready to play come this Sunday. The Packers will feast off of the Giants cockiness. The Packers already went into their place and took a W. There is a small clip on NFL.com of Mariucci, Irving, and Sanders and they like to point out that the Giants had a few injuries on defense...possibly pointing to the reason they lost? Didn't the Packers have 4 guys out that game (Hawk and Bishop being two of them)?
Seems people always try to find a way to make excuses for the losing team when injuries are in place. Something I rarely see as a Packers fan.
Aaron Rodgers is going to play good football. There is no doubt in my mind about that. If the offensive line gives him the time, this game is over. No one can keep up with our offense.
Packers defense needs to step up big time and I think it wall begins with Capers. He needs to stop playing the soft man/zone coverages and let our GREAT man-to-man coverage CB's play their game. Lack of the pass rush plays to this as well but putting the two together doesn't help at all. Force Manning to make throws into tight coverage and there are going to be turnovers.
Packers- 35
Giants- 24
I hope the Philbin family is able to find their son. Terrible news.

I'm most concerned that our offense bring it's A game. I think we have more to lose if the O plays bad than if the D plays bad. If the O is on we can win a shootout if necessary. Obviously, I'd like to see us play well on both sides of the ball.
As a sidenote, I thought the pressure Denver consistently brought against Pitt with only a three man rush yesterday was really impressive.

Good stuff, but this alone got you an applause point.

I just wish I could of bet on the pack this season to win the big one ... odds have been crappy from day 1 - sucks everyone viewed them so highly ;)
So many good games this weekend; only game that wont be that good IMO is the ravens/texans.
I forgot how the last game ended with the pack/giants and it was by a last second fieldgoal - Wow ... exciting; think both teams were a bit beat up.
Ya not so sure the giants can stop our passing attack; they might have a good front 4 but how many good corners do they have?

Zero2Cool;202324This is an excellent point. Aside from the Lions game where a few starters were rested, the Packers have only given up more than 21 points twice in their last seven games.
You really wouldn't think it was that good by how the games go..We don't allow many points but we do allow a ton of yards.. which is painful to watch.
The Patriots don't really give up a ton of points for what their yards per game is as well. All news outlets call a D or O the best or worst in the league based on yards. For example I cringe whenever I hear that the Saints are the "number 1 offense" when the packers were close to being the highest scoring team of all time. Which is what matters most to me.
Having said all this, the Giants scorched our defense in both ways the last game we played against them. That was in NY though not GB.
It would give the defense a hefty boost of confidence to start the game with a few 3 and outs, or at least stops before the red zone area.
