Lets hope that he has more mental toughness than D.Rose.. yeah.. not much more than to take a shot at a Bulls player here.
One thing is clear.. Palmer made an impact on the Illinois State football program.
Another side note.. and probably the reason this article grabbed my attention. Spence Nowinsky. I remember him playing in Wausau and in the area.. pretty good high school player. I don't remember ever playing against him though.. maybe we traded barbs in a camp someplace along the lines though. Makes me sound freaking old.. lol.

PGWhat sold the Redbirds on Palmer was his mild-mannered intelligence and wide-ranging athletic background after playing basketball at Simeon High School in Chicago with future Bulls' guard Derrick Rose.

Yeah, wow. This kid could be a steal.
I'm trying really hard to temper my enthusiasm for Palmer, Perry, Manning and Mulumba adding to Bishop, Hawk, Matthews, Jones and Moses. The entire unit should be vastly improved this year.
Great article, and encouraging to hear their effusive praise of Nate Palmer.

I've heard Palmer is versatile enough to play inside or outside. I wonder if maybe that's why the rumor that the Packers were shopping Bishop.
If he doesn't look 100% in camp I think he may become a cap casualty with late cuts.
Like with the D-Line, I am really liking the depth at LB.
If the starting 4 are CM3, Perry, Hawk and Bishop and then you have Jones, Palmer and Mulamba rotating in?
Compare that to the rest of the division, where there is no depth at the positio, and you might argue none of the other 3 teams can even fill their 3 starting spots qith quality players.
