Oh I get it. Wouldn't the other way work too? That way, the community feels like the article they post gets into news and has merits worth of discussion and anyone can click discuss just to be taken to the topic itself to fulfill that. Either way, I like that.

I don't like the Packers News links.
They give you one sentence from your story and then a bunch of garbage.
I have posted two of the stories and had to go to their website and copy and paste a couple of paragraphs in order to give our thread some semblance of what the story is about.

i am not saying we need to put the whole article on our website as there are legal issues but a couple of paragraphs would be nice. Also ditching the ads for other stories would keep it from being confusing.
I just clicked discuss for something on the CB and the quote had something a 5K run among other partial stories.

Traded to the Vikings to keep tabs on Greg Jennings.

We can eliminate Packers News feed if necessary.

I'm not sure what ya mean by the other way, lol.

The 'news' page has headlines from all over the internet about the Packers.
It grabs the last 15 that haven't been added to the forum for discussion.

Then we can cherry pick which topics we want to discuss.

After you click discuss, you can go back to the post and edit it and add your comments if you'd like.

It is better now.
I thought you made some adjustment.
All the extra story links were not there the last time I posted.

I say it required a separate log in because when I click on the news link, it says I need to sign in.

And as I am typing this, I am obviously still signed in [grin1]

Make sense what I am saying?

That is odd. I see you're using an iPad. I wonder if that's the issue? That would be very strange. On my Galaxy S4 it works fine.

If you can keep playing with it that would be great. Also, when you click the 'news' page, do you see that you're logged in on the upper right corner?

That is what happened yesterday to me.. until I signed in under the news tab.. then via a cookie it kept it.

It is almost like the code isn't carrying over the user information to that page; like it is clearing the user someplace in the code.
