RainX;275754 The fact Burnett can move back to his natural SS position full time now and we can plug in a talented rookie prospect in Dix instead of a converted corner in Micah Hyde or hoping Sean Richardson's neck doesn't give out is a huge Boon for our secondary.
Actually, Burnett has been stuck playing a lot of SS in our system. As Coach Perry admitted when talking to media yesterday, a lot of Burnett at SS has been by need as opposed to choice. Makes sense since Jennings small frame (and lackluster tackling) were never a good fit for SS. Ha Ha isn't the athlete Burnett is, but I believe Darren Perry when he says that Ha Ha / Burnett have the ability to be interchangeable at S. If both can change between FS and SS, that'll go a long ways towards adding versatility on our D. The rest of your post I completely agree with.

Okay let me rephrase that: who does he compare to in a worst case scenario and in a best case scenario?
I don't know about best or worst case but as far as player comparisons he reminds me a little of a less athletic Eric Berry.

DoddPower;275738I have zero faith that Pryor will be able to stay healthy in the NFL, especially if he played for the Packers.
I'm not disappointed about not getting him, at all.
Above all, a team needs its players to be available.
I seriously question how available Pryor will be, but anything can happen.
My concern would be- Will Pryor rival James Harrison in fines?

The biggest question, when it come to Dix, is can he pickup the entire defense and be able to run the show and make the adjustment calls once the defensive huddle breaks and players start shifting around.
IMO, that is the single biggest thing, we have been missing without Collins.
The safeties and defense we have as a whole has the physical ability.
What has been missing is mental.
If he ends up just being a FS and not the QB of the secondary, than I expect him to just be another S.
I hope he can become more.

You hit the jackpot with your question.
We need our coaches to adapt to Ha-Ha too, I would be really annoyed if it turns out Ha-Ha can't learn the system.
He's not MD Jennings its the coaches job to make him effective!

The adjustments and calls is something that can also come with time.
If I recall, Collins was not making those calls when he first started out.
It took him some time to catch up to the NFL game mentally, but when he did, boy was he good.

As fans we have to be careful comparing him to Nick Collins. Well at least from an expectations point of view. That is just setting us up to be disappointed. Nick Collins would of most likely of been the best safety in the league a couple seasons ago and the second best safety behind Earl Thomas last year. Thats how good he was.

Ha Ha Clinton-Dix was a steal at 21. Thank you Chicago! Thank you Dallas!
CD will of course take time to develop into a complete NFL Safety, but he will be able to come in straight away and start, with Morgan Burnett there to help show him the way. He immediately makes this defense better.
Figure, with a far better pass rush, and Hayward coming back, this Packers team could easily go back to being one of the top ball hawking teams in the NFL. Also, maybe Morgan Burnett is at that stage where the light goes on, and he becomes that complete player in his 4th year of development (minus his full season injured), which would be right on schedule in normal situations. Burnett was all ball hawk coming into the league...
Funny that his # and draft position are the same! Welcome Ha Ha Clinton-Dix #21 to the Green Bay Packers! I wish him all the best here.

Morgan won't have to be out of position trying to cover for people who don't know wtf they're doing and/or are unable to get it done.

True, because Micah Hyde will be starting next to him.
