Mucky Tundra;275665Honestly I just want our safety play to be average after dealing with the shit that's been on the field the past two years. Was it a need pick? Yeah, but how many other players could they have rated higher at that point? At least now they can do whatever they want the rest of the draft since they filled one of the big holes on our roster.

Aside from wanting just average Safety play (I've been wanting top S play) this sums up my feelings.

The pressure is off. There must be a huge sense of relief in that Packers draft room...

I know I feel that way.

I would love it if they played this sound clip any time he makes a big play at Lambeau.

I mean, I want above average play as well but you take what you can get after last year. [-o<

Plus with any luck having a competent FS will hopefully allow Burnett to rebound and go back to SS and the sure tackler he was turning into and if we're lucky take a big leap forward.

Oh, I knew what you meant bro!

I'm just so freaking happy about this pick. Finally. Easy. And, we're not wasting all that time trying to figure out who the hell Ted picked!

I have zero issue with the pick.. and reading around that some thought Ha Ha was a bit disappointed to be a Packer.. looks like he might have known something almost 2 weeks ago.

Easley might have been a consideration for some inside pressure with a long injury history.. but to get a good safety in a shallow safety pool.. I think it bodes well. Now if we can land Borland and Abby today. :)

Charles Woodson (#21) wasn't thrilled about joining the Packers.
Ha'Sean Clinton-Dix (#21) might learn to love the Green Bay Packers too.

Ha'Sean Clinton-DixI didn't pick No. 21 to wear, they picked it for me. It's a good number to have, will wear it with pride.

Misery loves company!
Welcome, Wade. [laughing]

I don't think Ha Ha was unhappy to be a Packer, I think he was unhappy he went at 21 when he was expecting to go higher...or, maybe, he can't stand Eddie Lacy despite what he's said about him. :-k

In any case, it's nice to have another 1st rounder in TitleTown to dissect and discuss.
Most fans and especially the brass seems happy which is always nice.
Some years, actually, many years, you don't come away with the sense the org is thrilled with their 1st rounder.
Not this year.
It reminds me of the Raji/Matthews picks... the staff was wound up that year.
Let's hope they're right... as you don't usually see that kind of emotion out of that draft room.
