Special teams again were nothing special. Every year the same mistakes over and over. Ruffing the kicker derailed a defensive stop...numerous returns from the end zone that never seen the 20 yard line...18 men on the field = burnt timeout...Tim Masthay short weak punts...OFF WITH SHAWN SLOCUM'S HEAD ALREADY FOR THE CHRIST SAKE. Season after Season the same garbage!!!
While your at it invite Dom to the execution and show him what happens when you can't perform...

packman82;283397. Is Dom Capers leash like 35 feet long ? Time and time again he has shown he can't stop the read option but he gets a pass by saying "Oh we have some unique new twists to surprise Seattle" .
Well, to be fair.....Seattle WAS surprised. They probably thought the Packers would put up a much better fight then they did.[grin1]

Lets take another look at this game.
Stupid plays
#1
Running into a kicker when he is doing a pooch punt. WTF are you calling a punt block for when he is trying to punt the ball 30 yards.
Seattle gets the ball back and
get a FG
#2
Holding penalty on Jones on a 3rd and 7 play. Pass was incomplete and Seahawks would have had to punt, but instead get a 1st down and go on to score a td.
#3
Another holding penalty on Jones on a 3rd down. Another stop but the holding penalty gives the Seahawks a 1st and drive for another td to seal the game.
#4
Aaron Rodgers
has a chance to run for a 1st down but pulls up and throws the ball over the head of Cobb out of bounds.
Rodgers all night looked like a scared kid afraid to run the ball.
Why were our RBs thinking they were Barry Sanders and trying to take everything outside? Their were a few plays I feel we left yards on the field because they would try and juke instead of going straight ahead.
To me the final score and the media declare this as a rout but in all honesty a few plays and this a different ballgame.
BTW The 2 holding penalties by Jones were his best tackles of the night. Also i see alot of people saying Shields blew the coverage on the read option touchdown, but to me he was doing what he was suppose to do and that is attack the qb and the safety was suppose to roll to the receiver. Remember how Kaperdick
would just run behind the defender and receiver as they ran down the field in man to man coverage.
I hope I am wrong but 12 is starting to act more and more like the ole #4 and is afraid to run and if nothing else he chucks it deep.

1. When your front 3 on defense can be man handled one on one, then that only spells trouble for the LBr's. All of them.
Maybe now some of you can understand the need for what has been called "the big fatties", on the Defensive line.
Guion was not the answer against The Seahawks,
is not the answer going foward.
Boyd looked ok at times, but he is not big enough to play NT the whole game.
Is it time to let Pennel play?
Maybe he could at least hold his own and force teams to double team him, but he is very raw.
Time to make a phone call Ted.
Welcome to the dark side.

Maybe HHCD was out of position, but it took him a long time to get to Lockette after he had caught the ball.
CM3 was there to make the play on Wilson...I still feel like the defense was or should be designed for Shields to stay with the WR.
I think the Seahawks tried that play later in the game to Tramon's side and he stuck on the WR which blew up the play.

Philbin's team is looking pretty smooth today.
Without all these fumbles, they'd probably be blowing out NE.

Not necessarily "fatties", but more in the Cullen Jenkins/Justin Smith mold.
Fat, weak linemen have been a problem for us *cough* Raji *cough*
