One issue with the fan shout when in a thread.. it resets the focus to the end of the page.

It only does that when I click on "last post" for the thread.

Bring back the permanent shout area, It is like a Chat Room/Bulletin Board. Let's move forward , not backward.

I'd like to see the shout box stay open all day Sunday so we can chat about all the other games.
I think it was shut down right after the Packers game was over. Would like to see it open for the late games too.

The problem with having the Chat open 24/7 is (like I said in the opening post) the extensive database hits that cause the site to slow down.
Maybe we could put the Fan Shout on top of the Forum index in its place?
