Assuming they can stay healthy, pre-season should at least be watchable with Janis, Abbrederis, and now Montgomery trying to wow the coaching staff.
Janis was supposed to come on strong at the end of the pre-season last year but was only activated once I believe while Abbrederis unfortunately got hurt in Training Camp.

Looks like a good value pick. Also reading that he bulked up too much and might need to lose weight.

I like how these draft prospects add inches to their height ... nfl has em listed 6'0 - top of this thread lists 6'2 ...
Sounds like a good pick - just wondering about the injury.
would like a good return guy that can catch etc ...
Ted seems to like his multi-facet doodes

Another thing to remember is that outside of Cobb and Jordy early last year, we were really hurting as far as targets go. Or how about in 2013 that saw both James Jones and Cobb go down to injury (and that's not even including a pass catching TE like Finley)? For all of the hype around them, both Abby and Janis are question marks going into the year. Abby for his health and Janis and if his measurables translate against NFL defenses. Can't hurt to keep the WR train going.

I look at this guy as RB and PR.
He's gonna be the lightning to Eddie's thunder.
Not sure what DuJuan did to get himself into the doghouse, but this staff seems to put guys there from time to time.
So he doesn't get to be our designated "Sproles" guy.
Ted just drafted a 3rd rounder to fit that bill.

That's something I read as well: he was used out of the backfield in addition to being a WR. Def a Swiss army pocket knife player

If there is one position where Thompson has a stellar record at drafting, it is WR.
While this is a pick that in no shape or form would I have made, and while IMO the jury is still out on all three of last year's WR picks, I'll still give him the benefit of the doubt on this one given his past record with Jennings, Jones, Nelson, Cobb.
FWIW (exactly nothing) -- who I would have taken instead, since still available at this pick:
Michael Bennett!!
Way above on board.
Plus need.
Sorry, I cannot be comfortable with the Raji/Guion combo.
Paul Dawson!!
Way above on board.
Plus need.
Not at all comfortable with the Barrington/Bradword combo either. And I dont want to move CM3 to ILB.
Marcus Hardison!
Also well above Montgomery on my board.
Jay Ajayi
Way above Montgomery on board
Rashad Greene
Way above on the WR board.
Tre McBride
Way above on the WR board
T J Clemmings
well above on board, plus I still don't understand the love affair people have with Bahktiari.
Davis Tull.
Above on board
Tre' Jackson.
Above on board, and I want Lang to have competition.
La'El Collins
See Jackson, and worth the risk in the late third.

Okay that's fun! I'll go with CB Rollins and that one undrafted LB whose name escapes me.

I wanna see the Pack run 5 receiver sets like they used to. In effect saying "our 4th and 5th receivers are better than your 4th, 5th and 6th DBs are". I always thought that was interesting.
