Yerko;313517While I dislike comparisons, he was compared to Desmond Bishop. If he can be a Desmond Bishop-type player, I will be happy with that.
This is my favorite pick as I was one of the fans getting nervous about the lack of fulfilling the ILB position. He came back and played well from his ACL injury and seems like a very instinctive player watching his film. Very little competition at the ILB position so he may get some playing time in his rookie year.
I think he compares a lot more to AJ Hawk than Bishop. Bishop was very physical but kinda slow. Where I think Hawk and Ryan are both jacks of all trades but kings of none.

I never thought Hawk really played up to his 4o time, but maybe I'm judging him based on his last couple seasons more.

Personally I would rather he prove to be *more* than Desmond Bishop.
But then I'm a Negative Nellie who thinks we need better than Desmond Bishop starting at ILB.

This might be my 2nd favorite pick after Rollins.
I think the overall quality of ILBs in this draft was pretty good but there wasn't much separating the very top guys from anyone else.
I see Ryan as every bit or even better value in the 4th round as Anthony or Kendricks in the 1st.
I'm not giving up on Bradford winning some snaps either but hopefully there's some good competition between him and Ryan.
If neither of them are ready we still have a good back up plan with Clay so it's not that desperate of a situation either way.
