Zero2Cool;329152If the OL is not going to give Rodgers enough time for his WR do execute double moves, then he needs to hit guys in the flat or on drags.
Rodgers has a wicked pump fake and if he can time it with his WR on a curl pump fake double move to an out or down the seam, the CB (50/50) will bite and it'll be a big play.
I can't recall Rodgers trying a pump fake nearly as much this season as last season.

A flag route from next to the TE is where I think Jeff Janis could open things up underneath because of his speed. If Janis gets behind his guy, all Rodgers has to do is lead him and let Janis do the rest.

Here's an image that shows WR route tree which saves me from drawing it myself. :D

blueleopard;332116Rodgers had time to throw and didn't try the easiest trick in the book. The pumpfake.

I don't even remember the last time Rodgers even performed a pump fake.

I hear ya blue, I hear ya! lol

Zero2Cool;329039Something else I wanted to add earlier and didn't.
The Packers really need to have routes that suit the players, rather than trying to get the players to suit their routes.
Jeff Janis for example. All he can do is post routes. My gosh, make the kid run some post routes to stretch the field then!
That's just one example.

All I'm saying with this is, I want an offense that caters to the players, rather than trying to force players to cater to the offense.
If you have a punishing running back, dammit, run his ass up the middle, don't have him running toss plays! If you have a player who can run the laces off his cleats, RUN HIS ASS DOWN THE FIELD!!

If regular Joe's like us can see this, why won't the Packers?
Today they had Jeff Janis run deep at least twice and one of them turned into a 50 yard pass interference.

Send Janis on some slants or something.

He is obviously not going to make any over the shoulder catches.
He clearly needs to be facing the QB when the ball comes and it needs to hit him in the numbers.
So have the slot clear out the DB/ILB and hit him as he comes across the middle.

Let him use his speed when he gets the ball with the angle on the defenders, he can turn it upfield/beat them to the sideline and take it to the house.

Ain't rocket science.

Just because someone knows something is coming doesn't mean they can beat it. Just take care of your 1&1s and the rest takes care of itself.
