buckeyepackfan;3334357th round draft pick in 2014.
Played at Saginaw valley St.
40 time main reason he was drafted.
Seems to me Jeff is pretty much right on schedule.
He us contributing on ST's and is getting some playing time due to injuries.
James Jones said it best "you play how you practice"
We don't get to see what goes on at practice.
All we hear are the interviews,
which are well scripted.
7th rnd pick from a small college,
probably going to take him longer to develop.
Expectations are to high
for most Packer picks , hopefully Janis will get to continue to return kickoffs.
He got the opportunity and made the best of it.
Driver was a track guy. Took him three years.

yooperfan;333436And this NEVER happened to Jerry Rice, Dez Bryant, Jordy or Megatron?
Come on man!
Pretty small sample size.
Maybe it was just another shitty throw, after all, we have seen a lot of them lately.
Those other guys can make over the shoulder catches.

Just pointing out that ONE play does not define a player.
Hard to judge Janis based on the few plays where he has been targeted, or on the field for that matter.
He is a 7th round draft pick a year and a half into his career, yet many people are judging him as unworthy.
There is a lot of unfounded speculation around here regarding Janis IMHO.

No one's saying he doesn't have potential.

yooper, it is not unfounded speculation; if he was even close to a complete WR he'd have made an impact w/ all the injuries. But, he is "worthy."
If the light goes on, he WILL, no "if", be very good, and I think like Buck" "he's on schedule."
Also as Buck points out, ALL 32 GMs had the same opinion of Janis' ability; if they were right he'd be gone...But he's still here.
Being a ST stud allows for more patience and it shows an inner toughness that when harnessed will help him become James Jones-like in fighting for the ball and using his body when he doesn't get much separation.
So for now, we watch him run Go routes.
In the last 3-4 games and POs we'll see him run unscouted routes he's been working on all year.
But remember, just because he might rack up 2-300 yards in last 1/4 of season and POs is no reason unto itself to believe he has turned the corner.

DakotaT;333429But is he tough, intelligent, and coordinated?
I think he's more along the lines of track stars Willie Gault and Renaldo Nehimiah than a professional pass catcher.
You need a sarcasm detector!

Forget what game it was. Might have been San Diego.
