After the few first rounders, there weren't a lot of good tackles left to draft.
It's hard to get a decent one when you draft in the 20s a lot. It was nice to see a kid this good slip a little so that he was within reach.

Walter's OT rank
6. Jason Spriggs, OT, Indiana
Height: 6-5. Weight: 301. Arm: 34.13. Hand: 9.5.
40 Time: 4.94.
Projected Round (2016): 1-3.
4/26/16: Grades on Spriggs vary, and some teams in the market for offensive line help have told WalterFootball.com they have a third-round grade on Spriggs. Others have him higher. At the combine, Spriggs had a very good workout as he ran fast in the 40 while showing athleticism in the field work. Spriggs also had a quality showing on the bench press with 31 reps, a very good number for a left tackle with longer arms.
He has good feet, length, and enough athleticism to block on the edge.

wpr;350982Bye-bye Bakhtiari or Bulaga?
They definitely need some help at OT.
He's an upgrade over the backups they have had for the last few years and he can step into the starting lineup next year.
Purely guessing but I think they're going to keep Bakhtiari, Bulaga and Spriggs, with one of them moving to OG next year. Just a guess.

Mucky Tundra;350994Thompson on Day 2: "It's a tricky business"
Skip to about 3:30 in the video[lol]
Ted looks like he's breaking down a little.
Almost looked drunk there.
He did say he was getting tired, but I'm a little worried about him.

I had to laugh at the comment on his weaknesses "Doesn't maintain much weight on inner half of his frame."
Which means he isn't fat enough.
He sounds like a kid that can be coached up and will improve over time.

Plus if he has problems Eddie can probably help him out.

My 2nd favorite pick of the draft. All I had to do was remember how awful Don Barclay and Josh Walker looked as back-ups last year and then how bad Sitton looked having to play LT because our back-ups sucked so badly.
With Bahk's recent ankle injury and the consistently injured Bulaga, it will be a nice insurance policy to have one of the better tackles in the 2016 draft class.
Wasn't Spriggs mocked to us in the 1st round by quite a few?
