hardrocker950;368989Time to see if the past couple of weeks were a fluke. This is a game that we can win - assuming our defense shows up and looks average.
If I am Capers - I am planning to contain Wilson and stuff the run. Minimize the passes over the middle and make them throw to the outside. I could see Graham torching us in his usual fashion if he isn't a focal point
If the offense continues to grind out long drives and burn some clock - it should work in our favor. Wear that defense down and get the ball out quick - no time to run around waiting for a the big play against this D.
I think we squeak this one out in a nail biter finish.
Packers 27
Seahawks 24
Losing Perry and Pennell will hurt our run D.
But I think we can do it.

3 players I think will make the difference for The Packers tomorrow.
1. Offense........Christine Micheal.....Time for CM(no 3 here [biggrin] ) to take over the run game and grind out those tough 2nd and 7's and 3rd and 3's.
Time of Possession will be critical tomorrow. 18 carries....125yds!!!!
2.Defense......Julius Peppers. The Packers have been keeping Julius fresh all season, just for this type of game. With Clay playing with basically 1 arm and Nick Perry out, it's up to Julius to LEAD the young guys. 4 tackles, 2 pressures, 2 sacks, and 1 batted ball will do fine!!!!
3.Special Teams.....Randall Cobb.....third week Randall will be returning all the punts, he has been close, this week, HE WILL TAKE ON TO THE HOUSE!!!!!
Who else?????

This looks like a trap game for the hawks, it has all the ingredients: Long trip after an easy win, bad weather conditions, random opponent.
Pete Carroll l has Mike McCarthy's number, I (we?) still can't believe what happened in the infamous championship game. So I think MM will come out with a totally wrong game plan, the Hawks will make a lot of mistakes and it will be a low-scoring close ugly game in the first half.
Then several things can happen:
- We can have one of our usual special teams distasters and it will be game over.
- Rodgers can produce one of his signature fumbles and it will be game over.
- The hawks can start targeting whoever is "covered" by Micah Hyde or Damarius Randall and it will be game over.
- Rodgers can find Nelson and Cobb for some long gains and TDs and it will be game over.
- Christine Michael can switch to beast mode and run for 200 yards against his former team and it will be game over.
Putting everything together I think Seattle has more ways to win the game than us. I think I will have an answer in our first 2nd and 10 play, if Michael runs up the middle for 2 yards then we lose, if Mike calls something else then anything can happen.

This game is as important as the next upcoming three games . Regardless win or lose. If we get manhandled by the Seahawks then it might be smart to take of the foot off the pedal this year and concentrate on rebuilding for next years run.
3/4 season completed and we still don't know the identity of this team and where they stand. Are we going to get our 30 points let down defense or our shut down defense. Are we going to have our mediocre offense or our offensive stars going to show up. Regardless we make the playoffs or not I still blame this years performance on our coaching staff on both sides of the ball. Seems on both sides of the ball the coaches are unable to get the best out of the payers & play calling has been disgusting for both sides of the ball.
The key to a victory to this game is to keep Wilson in his pocket and have him throw the ball as much as he can. As much as I hate to say this ... this game is all on Capers shoulders.

Capers won't be on the field, so it's on Ted Thompson's below average draftees and his pile of UDFA junk to hold the fort.
Thompson hasn't given Capers much to work with.

My youngest son and his fiancee are going to be at Lambeau for this one.
I tried to talk them out of going due to the weather but Jessica has never been inside Lambeau Field so they were determined to go.
I know when I was his age I never missed a home game weather be damned if it was in Green Bay or Milwaukee so I guess you learn with age.
So the old man gets to watch their puppy and kick back in the layzee boy to watch the game.
They have decent seats in section 101 row 32 but not as good as mine.

Capers hasn't given Capers much to work with? You can't have all your starters on offense and defense as a elite superstar player you do realize that right?
CM3 - Peppers - Clinton Dix - Daniels - Jones - Rollins - Randall - Burnett - Perry - Guion
IMO pretty good starters to have on your defense. All of these players seem to have a great potential as in raw talent but it seems they just can't seem to take the leap to be better then they are or elevate their games. That's either on the scheme they're being utilized in or the talent not being brought out which in both aspects fall into Capers lap.
Take Casey Hayward for example ... when he was in Dom's scheme vs what he's doing this year.
Dom Capers scheme is broken unfortunately, middle of the field is always open to be exploited specially on the 3rd and longs. Let's not forget the past two weeks we haven't been facing Elite QB's either.
I've never liked Capers as the defensive coach since day 1 he's been hired. Yes I liked the switch to the 3-4 defense but the defense has lost us way too many important games. Capers defenses mentality is mostly play safe & hope opposing offense messes up.
