I figured it would be close, most of us did. But who expected the Packers would be blown out? Nobody west of the Appalachians. Congratulations to the Falcons, I hope they represent the NFC well and win the Super Bowl.

I won't watch the Super Bowl since, with the exception of the Green Bay Packers, I despise the NFL, but I will be hoping Atlanta wins it.

I'll watch it, but only to keep my streak alive of never missing a Super Bowl (on TV) in my lifetime. I read an article about these three friends that have gone to every Super Bowl. That's a lot of money!

mojaveson;377705who expected the Packers would be blown out?
I've seen this team fall flat on its face in the playoffs enough times that the fear was certainly in the back of my head. During Atlanta's first drive, I said to the guy I was watching the game with (a professor of mine who's a huge Atlanta fan) that if Green Bay didn't score on their first two drives, the game would get away from them fast.
And then Crosby missed that field goal.
Ugh.

Yep.
It didn't take long before I realized they were still sitting on the tarmac in GB in a fog.

I didn't think GB would keep up.
The defense it simply too weak.
Too porous in the secondary. I though it would be a sad day.I almost didn't even turn the game on but I had to give it a shot.
I was on to other things by the middle of the 2nd quarter.

I'm the eternal optimist type...going into games that is. I agree with you about the defense. Even that liquid rubber stuff advertised on TV couldn't have filled those holes. [frust]

I admire you.
I have been burnt too many times to be too optimistic.
It's too easy to see the flaws.
If I can see them then professionals can too and will know how to take advantage of the situation.
Its one thing to not have key players on offense.
They can make adjustments.
But when it's on defense unless the backup players step up beyond their abilities they will be eaten alive by a QB like Ryan.
