Bigbyfan;380574I haven't given up hope on Randall and Rollins yet. They both played relatively well their rookie season. Last year they both got injured and were never given enough time to properly heal due to our lack of CB depth.

Relatively well in their rookie season is still a stretch. Overall, their play was average even in their rookie season. I'll be happy if either one even becomes a decent #2 or a valuable #3 CB or safety. Nothing wrong with a decent #2 CB selected late in the first and second rounds.

I'm more concerned with our pass rush than our DBs. If we can get average to a little above average pass rush and get our DBs healthy, I believe we'll be fine. I checked only one sight, but according to their system only five teams were worse at rushing the passer than us. This is the sight

This is all true. I'm a believer in pass rush >>> coverage. Although, I'm also a believer in drafting the best available player, so I wouldn't want to reach for a pass rusher if there is a better overall cornerback available. I still wouldn't mind a veteran pass rusher or ILB added, even if it's a stop-gap until more younger players develop. Inevitably, Perry and Mathews will be hurt at some point throughout the season. Thinking about this defense without Mathews or Perry on the field (and without Peppers or Jones) is pretty scary indeed!

From what I've been reading from some professional writers, Kevin King (R-CB) may start at CB across from D. House for the Packers. More than one that I've read have said that it is more than highly possible. Size, speed, and youth are in his favor. If his mind is as quick as I believe, he will be a Starting CB for the Packers vs Seahawks (Sept 10) .

[cheers]
