That game didn't even last three hours. It flew by with a quickness, in stark contrast to the plodding Packers offense.

They came out of their bye and looked like garbage tonight. Ran into a buzz saw and had no answer for it. Going to be tough to win in the playoffs like that.

I see the Packers going maybe 11-5 this season. Still improved from last year, but their defense sure needs a lot of work.

Offense is real up and down too.

I’d like to know what their “game plan” was.
On defense it was “see how wide open you can allow the 49er receivers to get” and “try to tackle them without using your hands”.
On offense it was “see how many third downs you can get without converting them”.
We aren’t the worst team in the league, but aren’t even close to the best teams.
We will beat lousy teams, and give a good fight against mid level teams. But get slaughtered by great teams.

I love MLF..but every time they showed him on the sideline he sure looked like he was in over his head.

As previously stated, it is time to take off the rose colored glasses.
we are an above average team, not an elite team:

1. The game is won and lost primarily in the lines, and our lines simply are not championship calibre
  • Our offensive line cannot impose their will on ANYONE decent.Linsley, Jenkins and Turner were VASTLY over-matched it was men against boys.IMO Turner signing was paying way to much for mediocre.
Rodgers could not stop up most of the night
  • The interior of our defensive line was mauled most of the night.Clark must be hurt, because most the time he was a no show.
    Lowry sucked, Lancaster sucked.
    They were manhandled

2. Rodgers shit himself.
  • Yes I know the line sucked, but he gave the 49ers a 7-0 start
  • Get rid of the frigging ball if noone is open. You know there are guys on the sidelines, throw it over their heads, like you did on the first drive (oops, that wasn't supposed to be a throw away.
    3. We have no above average ILBs.
Martinez is slow and sucks at giving help in the passing game.
He goes to a zone and stands there like an orange cone.

    4. When is the Kevin King experiment over?
Jackson can't be any worse....and from what I have seen of Tony Brown, he should be starting.

Our offense simply can not stay on the field with elite teams...the talent is not there.

Aaron Rodgers said post game that it was surprising how they played because of how well they practiced.
He also said some of the players post-game comments (I assume in the locker room) were encouraging.

I didn't mind the Chargers loss (non-conference) because I was more interested in how they responded.
I don't remember them looking sharp vs Panthers.

Losing two of the last three is a little bit unsettling.

When some chum like myself says 49ers are gonna beat Packers same as Chargers -- and it happens -- that's not good.
If we are able to see this, the professionals have to be able to see it an adapt. Or maybe we just don't have the talent to adapt?

I fail to see how the entire team can be so flat. Certainly a single player may have an off day but to have the entire team lay an egg yet again simply doesn't make sense. 198 total offense is ridiculous in this offensive happy league. 1-15 on third down? Seriously?

The 1996 Packers were also 8-3 and had lost 2 in a row on the road in November.
