Zero2Cool;442740Didn't the Saints dominate 2020 Week 1 too? Anyone remember the score and opponent?
Yeah, stomped the Bucs 34-23 (Saints were up 24-7 at one point). Brady had 2 INTs including a pick 6.

If this is where we had to start, so be it, lol.
Edit, jeez, just saw this too.

The NFL is a week-to-week league, but there are a few key differences that anyone who is looking to of last year's Saints-Bucs week one match-up as comfort should be aware of:
1) Tom Brady was literally playing his first game in the Bucs system, since there was no preseason due to COVID-19;
2) Literally none of the offensive players had played a snap together for the Bucs prior to the Saints game;
3) The Bucs had limits on their off-season installs and training camp due to COVID-19 restrictions implemented by the NFL;
4) The Bucs hadn't displayed the same concerning habits in their week one loss to the Saints that reared their head in the 2019-2020 season conference championship game; and
5) The Bucs had a reputable DC in Todd Bowles whose history as DC was not comprised entirely of coordinating league-worst defenses.
I get the point that the Saints-Bucs matchup shows it's a long season and what matters most is how a team ends its season once in the playoffs.
But it is at least concerning in year 3 of LaFleur's program, with his own preferred DC, the Packers looked like the NFL version of Bishop Sycamore.
