Very winnable game - Packers need to stop the run, which has been hit and miss the last few weeks. You make Jimmy throw, he WILL put the ball in harm's way.
Offense need to run the ball - wear down that 9ers front. Nobody wants to try to tackle a guy like Dillon in the cold - take advantage. Their secondary is a liability, so if given some time to throw, should be able to move the chains through the air.

nerdmann;447267Over the last three games, without Merciless, Smith, Alexander. Does that count the scrubs we played against Detroit?
Yes, without them. And yes with Lions game. We don't know how the team is going to do with those injured guys taking over for healthy players who got the Packers thirteen wins.

macbob;447259Actually, any of the teams out there "...can beat them selves..."
lol
Arguably, the Cowboys did that last night.
EVERYBODY scares me.
We played 3 of the 4 remaining teams in the regular season, winning the 3 games by a combined total of 13 pts (SF by 2, ARI by 3, LA by 8 ).
We won 5 games by a combined total of 11 points (SF, ARI, CIN, BAL, CLE).
Our 13-4 record wasn't that far off from 8-9.
The Packers have flaws, and big question marks on whether the injured starters will be able to fill some of the gaps.
And normally we lose those games vs playoff teams. Not saying we dont have flaws as we do but i like our chances at home vs teams we beat already.
fun fact, Packers did not lose to any playoff team in 2021 while Rodgers was QB. They went 5-0 vs them. would of been 6-0 if he was playing vs KC.
Niners were .500 vs playoff teams (4-4)
Bucs
went 3-1 vs playoff teams with the easiest schedule of the bunch.
Nothing scares me. Only way we lose is if the offense comes out flat for several series.

Im VERY nervous about this game. Last season, I thought having home field advantage, would almost guarantee a trip to the Super Bowl.
Now, I don’t have that feeling. Over confidence can bite a team in the butt.
Maybe that was part of last years implosion in the NFC title game.
Tempered confidence, knowing that if you don’t prepare and execute at a high level, will most likely leave you sitting home come Super Bowl week.

I still think failures to catch Brady's INT passes are what cost is the game, S Redmond dropped one before half, and then he decided to triple cover the WR over the middle when two guys (I believe Sullivan and Amos had him pinned in) and instead of giving help to King one on one.
Speaking of which, we NEED to improve that Safety depth, the dropoff between starters to backup is absolutely crazy. Also maybe CB, considering Douglas, Sullivan and King will be FAs.
before half (before King's TD given up) is

So, three interceptions in the second half wasn't enough? I'm not buying that. Packers went three an out twice on two of those interceptions and that is why they lost the game.
If you need more than three interceptions to win a game, you don't really deserve to win. Thought we moved on from this? I thought the Packers were playing the 49ers in a few days? Do we want to discuss the upcoming match or just revisit the amazingly fun to rehash 2020 NFL season conclusion for the Packers? 🤔
49ers running game is what worries me most. They seem like a team that will travel just fine in the damn cold. Hopefully Nick Bosa misses the game. 😁 IF the Packers can get out to a double digit lead, I think they can salt this one away with Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon.
Jimmy G has a bum shoulder and can't grip too well. I am hoping the cold weather makes it harder for his ass!!
Update: Jason McIntyre @jasonrmcintyre Texted someone in SF about 90 minutes ago asking about Jimmy G. LOTS of rumors the hand & shoulder are not good. Like "may not start" good. And the line has surged marketwide to GB -6. Somebody has even more intel

I prefer Jimmy over Lance. I dont like facing mobile QBs in the cold in the playoffs

It’s the scars from Culpepper, McNabb, Vick, and Kaepernick.

And the fact Packers D is notorious for letting new QB's look like Marino.

The 49ers-Packers playoff game draws referee Ron Torbert & an “all-star” crew. Torbert’s crew finished 14th of the NFL’s 17 crews in penalties. Home teams went 10-7 with Torbert. The Packers are 6-2 all-time with Torbert, the 49ers 3-5.
